They Leak until you take them apart and make the valve seat some time it takes several tries to make them work, bought them for spares did not need to use them until the return date passed, went to tractor supply and spent more but they work.

We have livestock and we seem to go through too many water floats due to cattle and horses playing with them. We bought these for a lot less that at the local feed store and arrived within a few days.

I have 3 of these two on metal stock tanks and one on a rubber one. They work fantastic. I added quick change hose fittings to them so now no unscrewing hoses.

I’m not going to spend a lot of time reviewing this product, since I think it will take longer to write it than the float itself will last. Everything about this product is cheaply made. The float plastic reminds me of bathtub toys, almost translucent in its thinness. The seal is an oversized rubber washer that rests up against the flow nipple and did a poor job of making a solid connection. This is in equal parts because there is no support behind the washer to make it rigid and because the float too narrow, not providing enough flotation to apply pressure. Testing it before putting it into action proved a good plan, as I had numerous failures that would have caused overflowing if I’d left it unattended. I’ll stick to the more expensive floats designed by proven agricultural equipment manufacturers.

Do not buy this product. It's defective! I bought 2 and both didn't work. They won't shut off causing the water tubs to overflow.

I got this for a cattle trough and I should have known better because it’s a copy of a name brand trough float. I checked to make sure that something wasn’t in the rubber seat and I even tried flipping the brackets over to make the float lower and it was completely under water and still was passing water. It’s garbage don’t waste your time and money.
