It does not have a sticky side, when you remove the nylon you are left with a piece of transparent and unusable plastic in your hands.

The StewMac Clear Pickguard Material is probably a good product but lacks a crucial item, no label. It's totally my fault but...gee couldn't you have put a sticker on it telling me which side is the glue side? I spent a good half hour measuring, cutting a paper template and finalizing my design only to find out after I cut the pickguard, that it was wrong side up! I wasted $15 getting what I thought was a premium product. Now I have to buy a new sheet of the stuff. Darn!!
