This is popular geared Nema 17 stepper motor with a medium body and torque. It has an integrated planetary gearbox with a 26.85:1 gear ratio, the resolution reach 0.067deg step angle. It's a good solution in applications that need very low rotation speeds and/or lots of torque.

Very bad gearbox made of plastic not maintaining the position properly.

Don't look to be swapping gearboxes, or maybe you can in the right configurations, dunno. The shaft on the motor is splined to work directly as the sun gear on the planetary gear box. I was hoping to see a D shaft in there to make it more useful in any configuration. The existing makes sense, just not what I was hoping for.
