Brackets are good and solid but the screws provide are on the cheaper side and I broke one. Mostly wouldn’t be an issues if you pre drill, so I am partially to blame

I was a little worried that this would not be strong enough to splice a post for a mailbox, but wow. I had ding a star because the screws it came with were horrible.

Way too small to support a post and the screws are way too small and flimsy to even hold the brackets in place. Already had a head snapped off and I have added an 16 inch section to an existing post to extend the height of a children's playset canopy made of vinyl. I knew it was a long shot but didn't expect such poor results

Wanted to extend my 4x4 post which has 2 outlets attached for electric for my above ground pool. I extended it to add a shelf to hold tools or a tool bag if I need to fix something on the pool equipment and extended it to install my salt generator unit. Now I have a 4 ft high post with everything attached. This is a much better solution than any brackets I could find at the home center. Worth the $
