Very nice product and great price for quantity, also quick shipping. We use a lot for pull start tools. This rope holds up much better and works in pur gas saws, generators, and compactors. Will always buy again!

The right size of pull starter rope with enough rope to last, for the price of the wrong sized pull start rope that lasts a month. What is the tiny 3ft pull start rope for that is sold as a pull start rope, They must have some tiny machines because all I could find were tiny diameter ropes sold as pull start rope. I'm glad that I found this and it has lasted better and longer than the original that came with the Ridgid generator. We live off-grid and I start the generator several times a day and I bought this rope two or three years ago and haven't had to replace the first piece of rope that I replaced the Rigid rope with.

So... I'm an amateur radio (Ham) operator. When I operate in the field, I use a portable 20ft fiberglass mast that needs to be guyed down. I searched for a suitable rope, and this starter rope is what checked all the boxes for me.High tensile strength, High wear/abrasion resistant and Low stretch. I purchase a 100ft. spool, even though I'll only need 60ft. I wanted extra because I know this stuff will find its way into other useful applications... and who knows, I may end up actually using it for the pull starter on my small generator, LOL.

A huge upgrade over the crappy starter rope on most engines.

Appears to have good tensile strength. Replace with Stens size 6 . No IssuesTip for those having issues feeding line. Remove a 1 inch or so of inner line threads, melt and stretch outer casing of line to a point. Feed through recoil starter Rope Pulley , cut burned area and tie a knot. It will save you a lot of time.

Merc 9.9 two stroke. The original rope (over 25 years old) was fraying.Ordered this spool of rope as it was only marginally more expensive than the precut length, and I have two engines that need repair…Quality of the rope seems excellent, and the blue color adds a little flare. No problem recommending this product.

The starter rope seems to work well and is packaged nice, with a small pin to hold the line on the spool between uses. As with most starter line, it really needs to be cut hot or melted to prevent fraying and allow it to be fed through the recoil and/or handle more easily. It does fray a lot when it isn't melted and this does make for a difficult install if you aren't prepared. I cut one star off because the line does not seem to hold a knot well unless similarly partly melted after being tied. This may be related to my machine, but the line didn't hold its knot past 1 pull before I melted the knot. YMMV.As far as strength goes, time will tell but it does seem to be of high strength and durable. After hundreds of pulls on a Honda gx motor, it looks almost new and functions well.

This rope can stand the abuse of pulling over my high compression 860cc skidoo engine over and over and over, you certainly don't need wonder if it'll spin your mower or snow blower. The thick seat-belt like coating is the first thing you notice when holding the rope. Right away I could tell that this rope will do a better job standing up to rub wear than my stock braided nylon. Happy it came in a 100' spool, because now I want to add it to everything.
