I haven't had to use this yet but it's the right size for push mowers. It took a while of searching to find the right size, and quality string by a name brand. I didn't want to buy cheap pull string in bulk thrown into a clear bag from China which would be guaranteed not to last!

This is a high quality cord. I had a hard time figuring out what diameter a #5 1/2 cord was. It's 11/64". It's hard to read in the photos but the label says "For 4-cycle pushmower applications". I didn't know this when I bought it to replace the starter cord on my 40 year old Homelite chain saw. The original cord lasted 39 years. I replaced it with a generic polyprorylene cord I got at the local farm supply store. It seemed like a high quality cord, but was not as tightly woven as this cord is. It lasted one year. The Stens cord is very tightly woven and seems to work well. Not sure if it will do well with a chain saw application, but after two days of use, it seems fine. I deducted one star because the description did not mention for 4-cycle use and did not state the cord diameter even though it says so on the label.
