I purchased these to use with my newly built pc so I didn't have to keep disconnecting and reconnecting my SS Arctis 9X between that and my Xbox Series X. And also because my 9X cannot use wireless and Bluetooth simultaneously on PC. I will start by saying that these sound excellent. And my friends have told me the mic sounds great. I was already a fan of Steel Series because of my 9X's, and these have lived up to my expectations easily.Pros:1. Wireless and BT! I love being able to hear my game/chat and also listen to something on my phone at the same time. Or answer a call while playing.2. Lightweight/Comfort. I can wear them all day and it doesn't bother me at all. And the headband is super comfortable.3. USB C charging. I have a lot of USB C cables for all my other devices and my 9X is the only thing that uses Micro USB so I'm glad they updated these4. Build quality feels solid. Some people complain about them breaking or feeling cheap, but mine feel great. Though I do take very good care of them.5. Battery life/charging. The battery lasts pretty long and they charge pretty quick.Cons:1. They aren't quit as comfortable as my 9X are. Though they are still pretty comfortable so I don't even like counting this as a con.2. The buttons (power, BT, mute) and volume control/chat mix wheels aren't as easy to find or control while I'm wearing them as my 9X.3. The mic isn't as flexible as I'd like. It always pulls out into the same position and doesn't adjust as easily as the 9X.Conclusion: Overall I am extremely happy with these. I couldn't afford the go with the Nova Pro Wireless or even the Arctis 9 which would have been my first two choices. And I got these for $130 which is $50 cheaper than you can get them most other places. So far, they have been worth every penny and all of the cons I listed are just me nitpicking and none of them are even close to a big enough deal for me to rate them any less than 5 stars. I have only had them a week so far, but I am currently going through a pretty aggressive treatment for cancer and can't work so I am home all the time and use these almost all day everyday. But if I do run into any issues, I will update this review.I would highly recommend these if you are in the market for a mid-high range wireless headset for PC. My only other non-SS headset in the last few years is the RIG 800 PRO HX, which was also an excellent headset, but I would take the Nova 7 anyday over those.

Bought to replace a Turtle Beach headset that my brother had from Xbox One and had given to me.Set up:The Nova 7X headset was easy to set up; simply adjusted the headstrap where I needed it, plugged the dongle into my Series X with the extension cable provided, and turned on the headset. Just make sure that the toggle on the dongle is set to Xbox for Xbox and USB for everything else (PC, PS5, Switch, etc.) The headset sounds pretty good out of the box, however, seem to be what I would call "tingy" without making adjustments on PC. After I connected to PC, I set up the headset using Sonar on the Steel Series software that's free to download from their site, but I don't think that translated to the xbox. What did, however, was the EQ settings because I set it to Bass Boost and it seems to have gotten rid of the "tingy" sound I was experiencing previously.Battery life:The battery life is phenomenal. I would say getting 38 hours or more is absolutely possible. I have had the headset for over a week now and charged it for the first time last night and it only seemed to take a couple hours to get to full charge. I was wearing the headset throughout the week watching youtube, playing games, etc. trying to get it to die. May vary from person to person as I typically work 9-10 hour days and worked 4 days last week while obviously not using the headset.Microphone:It's a mic. My brother says that he can hear me more clearly than when I wore my previous headset, but it is a Steel Series mic, so take that with a grain of salt.Features:The volume and chat mixer rollers (volume on left ear, chat mixer on right) are recessed which is great for sitting back in a recliner or on a couch and not having to worry about volume getting messed with by previously mentioned furniture (which was a problem for me with the Turtle Beach headset that I upgraded from.) Power, Bluetooth, and Mute buttons respond well and do exactly as they are meant to. Mic retracts into the left ear which is great when you want to watch something and not have a mic in your face. The headstrap and ear cushions have been great in my experience. I wear glasses and the headset feels very comfortable despite this. (In contrast, the Turtle Beach headset kind of dug into and rubbed the top of my head during extended gaming sessions. I also felt the part of my glasses just above my ear getting pushed into my ear by same headset.)Customization:I like that the headstrap, ear cushions, and magnetic side plates can be swapped out. Not only for the customization of it, but also the longevity of being able to swap the headstrap and ear cushions in the event of wear and tear.Weight:Comparable with the Turtle Beach headset, but I'd say the Nova 7Xs are a bit lighter. Conclusion:I am really enjoying the Nova 7X headset so far and I would definitely say it's an excellent choice for a headset, especially at $150 USD. Sound quality, battery life, and comfortability seemed to definitely be in mind when they designed this headset. It certainly feels like a lot of thought was put into this headset by Steel Series. Good job, Steel Series. I look forward to buying more of your products in the future, especially if this much thought of the user's experience is put into them. 10/10. Amazing headset. Amazing experience.
