I needed this for 2" PVC pipe (as advertised it should work) however this may work for 2" rubber hose, not solid pipe. You need more leverage to cut as the handles are maxed out for width to accommodate the 2" pipe. I do not recommend this as with my attempt - get a ratcheting cutter. If you try a spinning cutter it leaves a flared end which is another problem in itself.

Does not cut as easy as the ratchet type would need longer handles

The handle and spring broke on the second pipe cut. Only used it twice before it broke.

Blade was absolute trash. It did maybe less than 5 good cuts for class 200 pvc pipe. After it was worthless. Won’t buy again

I only use this for automotive hoses, such as heater hose or fuel line. My old cutter uses a rachet mechanism which would seem to have more mechanical leverage, but slower to cut. This uses just a straight blade that pivots in the middle. But is quicker to make a simple cut.. I haven't used it cut make a plastic pipe cut, not likely any time soon. I like it.

This cutting tool is well made, with a solid metal handle. It will cut up to 1 and 5/8 in rubber plastic and other. It is a must-have when working on water and cuts pipe easily. A great tool that is much more solid than the plastic handle ones that felt a little sloppy and didn't last long. This is a quality product that should last a long time.
