This is exactly what I've been looking for. I wish it came in a little case but I bought this set for the price point. Works great to hammer my wire projects :)

As received, this is not useable. The steel has very sharp edges and corners as if just placed in the box after cutting. The rubber pad is uneven, warped, and wobbles when placed on a flat surface. Also, the steel plate wobbles in the pocket of the rubber pad. The steel plate was fixed with 10 mins of filing to make it safe to handle - not a problem at all. The rubber pad was another stor and required some shaving with a planer and a wood chisel. Luckilly this rubber material cuts almost like wood. I'll probably make a new base with wood and my own rubber pad inset. The hammer is decent and nothing to complain about there. If you want something useable upon opening the box, shop elsewhere. Only reason I didn't return is because we wanted to use it right away and couldn't wait for ordering something else. At the end of the day its the hammer and plate that really matter.
