A small but functional upgrade to my instant pot. Definitely worth a couple of bucks to redirect the steam output away from facing me. Recommended for every instant pot user.

I like that now I can devert the steam on my InstaPot to another direction. It's nice to also have it up higher so the moisture doesn't go all over the lid etc.. I just placed it over my steam valve that the IP came with and now, I can have it going in the direction I want. Easy to clean, I don't have a dishwasher (yet), as that's my next toy I want...ha! And.... It does say you can use it in the dishwasher as well. Maybe for me...soon. lol.. quick shipping!

I wasn't sure about this little diverter to begin with. Did I really "need" this gadget when I could just throw a towel over the steam valve? Well, the towel gets wet and if I don't divert the steam, it goes right onto my cabinets so diverting it is good. Once I figured out the correct placement- put it on when the valve is open and aim it where you want the steam, then close the valve- I've used it almost every time I use my little 3 qt mini Instant Pot. I rinse it after use and it doesn't take up much room- you could probably store it in the pot when not in use.

Do not fit well. Have to hold in place to vent.

The listing for this item says it fits the Instant Pot DUO, but it doesn't. The DUO does not have a lever and this was clearly designed to hold onto a lever to prevent it from flying off. If the base fit more securely around the steam vent, it would work great, but as it currently is it just shoots off when the steam vent is released.

The listing said that this diverter fits the 6-qt Duo Plus. I have a 6-qt Duo Plus, and it doesn't fit. My lid has a separate lever from the steam valve, so this diverter does not stay on the valve. It is too big. The first time I tried to use it, it popped up in the air and flew off when the steam hit it! BUT...I really wanted to see if it works, so I tried it again, and held it in place on the "back" side. I wore an oven mitt to protect my hand from the steam. This diverter works very well! I didn't even need that oven mitt! All the steam went out the front, into the room, instead of up into my cupboards! If you have a steam valve with the lever on it in one piece, I can recommend this to you.

Although the diverter doesn't fit tight, it still works well. Love having the ability to divert the steam from my Instant Pot where it needs to go!
