Made of cast iron (enamel) with high heat conductivity, it can be cooked after the heat is turned and turned off.
It has excellent heat retention and cold retention, so you can eat it as it is on a dining table and keep cold items hot or cold.
Black Matte Emaille Cocotte interior is all textured and has a unique Staub's textured finish. The fine texture increases the surface area for better oil texture and less food contact and less burning.
Durable enamel finish. Glass emailles are also resistant to food acids and will not absorb odors even after prolonged use. Staub's Evaille treatment is highly durable.
Bottom: Smooth bottom can be used on all heat sources. It is also compatible with induction (100 V, 200 V). (*Not microwave safe)

Would purchase it again. When you are with two persons you need an oval shaped pan! A round pan is more suitable for four.I can put it on the stove and in the oven.

Excellent ceramic coated cast iron cookware. Nice to cook in and serve. Food stays hot in cast iron.

This is a very well-made little skillet, with an emphasis on little. I got it because my other cast-iron skillet is too big for a lot of cooking tasks, and I wanted something easier to use for small meals. But it is really too small to do much. The uses are pretty limited and niche. Definitely high quality! Just don’t expect it to be very versatile.

Just received my Staub small egg skillet. So cute..didn't cook in it yet but I know I will love it. It was way delayed and the seller was nice to promptly give me a refund. It did come later and I am thrilled with it.My maiden name is Staub and will go great in my kitchen. Thanks!

I love the quality of this pan, but the size is a bit small. Will accommodate only a single egg, and splatters the stovetop when cooking. I tried cooking both over easy and omelet in this pan, and found it was not a good omelet pan, there just isn't enough room for the eggs to spread out. I find it just a little bit too petit for an egg pan, but still love the quality, so will use it for heating up small items., or single serving items. The quality of this pan is why it gets 5 stars from me....I will find uses for it, besides it being an egg pan, for me that is a big fail in it's function

This product is the perfect size for my flat enchiladas. The quality is superb, it holds the heat so everyone gets a hot meal. The handles are low so they do obstruct a smooth eating experience. Fantastic brand, wish I had endless money to purchase every item in their line.
