The sleeve is a good size accommodating the width of just about any full-size keyboard. The sheet metal is of a sufficient gauge, which provides good rigidity and sound-dampening for the hollow section which this product bridges over. However, there are two issues with the paint. One, its matte finish is so abrasive that any a slight pressure of one's palm, wrist or elbow will leave ashy markings. By the same token, it would prematurely wear down the bottom of any input device which come in contact with it. Resurfacing it with a gentler coat of paint would solve the problem, but that's more effort and expense on top of an already pricey product. Two, either the paint or the sheet metal is uneven, as there are several raised bumps on the surface of the unit. All in all, the product works but could be vastly improved with some minor tweaks.

It's solid 1.5mm thick metal and heavy--it'll probably last longer than the desk. The bolts are held in place by little pins, which is less than ideal: I almost lost one while unboxing (didn't even know it was lost until I tried to install it) and they cause the bolts to never screw in all the way (they sit about 1.5mm out from where a bolt should properly sit flush with the device, which is annoying).Further, the front of the device is 2in thick, meaning it will extend 2in below the desk surface, so even thought the bolts don't stick out muck, it still adds 1.5in to the thickness of my desk. This could be a deal breaker if your desk top is low.The top surface of the device sits 2mm above the surface of the desk top. This means my mouse pad, which won't fit on top of the device along with my keyboard is at an angle has a dip as it sits partly in the desk surface, and partly on the device 2mm above the desk surface. This is not workable, and so I needed to find some padding to place underneath half of the mouse pad so that it was level. Finally the logo in the front is annoying too; I'll black it out somehow.Overall, it works, but could be designed better, less heavy, and thinner. But it is very much NOT worth the price.

Having a corner desk, I was using the under cabinet keyboard tray, but I am too short (5'2") to use that tray and sit high enough to ergonomically view my monitors. This tray fixes it by giving me enough room on the top of my desk for my keyboard and my mouse. Now I sit high enough that my back, neck, and shoulder pain are but a bad memory!

Well, it is bigger than I thought, very sturdy- in a good way. I have some arrangements to fiddle about with my computer monitors...maybe. But, I have to say it is nice to have a bit more room and a steady place for my keyboard. I do not want to return it, so I will fiddle where my monitors can sit that would be better for my eyes. Also, my desk allows me to stand and work, so I cannot fix it to the left-side corner, otherwise, I will not be able to work standing. Lots of Pros to keeping it, and a couple of Cons to returning it.

Bought one for someone using a board to bridge the corner in their desk... Then everyone wanted one.Sturdy. Ordered some $7 XL Gaming mouse pads to lay over them, and I have happier employees.
