I have a work laptop setup at home and between the dock and other connections I needed a few more usb ports. Having been in tech a long time was familiar with this brand and that was the main reason I chose it over other alternatives. Very pleased with it overall. To get picky I think the always on blue led light is annoying for my purposes and white is not my favorite. But it works so I can overlook that!

I was so pleased with this because we had travel plans and that was the whole point- so many things to charge (potentially) so few outlets. And it was great. For a hot minute. The first time things charged well. The second time- same slot that worked the first time then dead. Not happy!

These new dock come with more USB-C port at the expense of A ports. This gives you back those ports for your older USB-A devices.

I purchased this items in June and up to now it's working perfectly. In my own experience, StarTech makes good products.

This USB hub works as advertised. You will expand your USB connectivity and your circle of admirers when you hook this hub up to your Windows 10 computer and start plugging in Webcams, USB drives, and whatever else USB things you can get.I had to rate the Camera Quality as a 1 since it can't take pictures. I would have thought Amazon would have known that, but I know that Amazon has a lot on its mind these days, with the divorce and Lauren Sanchez and helicopters, and maybe Amazon got it confused with a Canon 60D digital camera which can also connect via USB cable.

Ok, how many times have you wanted to add a device to a USB port and only had one. Well now you can have up to four with this little device. With this you can have network connection using a USB to network connector along with USB drives up to three concurrently. I have an older laptop with three USB ports. One tied up with a backup thumb drive an another with blue tooth stub for my mouse. With this configuration I could not connect a hard wire to my router as well as have access to other thumb drives used for storage of my pictures from various sources at the same time. This little device solved all of my problems with a nice price point to boot. So far I have had thumb drive and network going at the same time with no problems. Given how all of the connections support the USB type connections this will be used for a while even if new computer is some where in my future. Gave it a four due not knowing of how long it is going to work. Will consider updating in the future after I have had a chance to use it a little longer.

This product works extremely well. The four ports are easy to access yet the unit is small enough with enough cord that it can be tucked out of the way. It is very well made. I've had it for a few months and have experienced no problems with it.

The versatility of this portable power hub is what makes it a must-have item in your tech toolkit. The StarTech charges phones and tablets for multiple users during long road trips. If your older model car only has a 12V plug, get a dual charger by , and expand to five charging hubs (see pic 1). Our three kids can plug into any one of the four ports on the StarTech, while front-seat passengers use the 12V car charger port. In newer car models equipped with a USB port, simply plug in for standard 4-port access. That same idea can work with a power bank when recharging from a home base. Relay the StarTech from the Kodiak to your gear eliminating having to plug into as many different outlets as you have power cords (see pic 2). Like updated cars, tech-savvy homes are being built with USB ports built into the wall outlet (see pic 3) thereby eliminating the need of the Kodiak as a relay power system. Of course, you can always port off your computer USB, too.The StarTech portable USB hub lets you power up from anywhere at anytime no matter where you are. A terrific pocket-sized tool for your computing power needs.
