Keeps my dog entertained whether it has treats or not. I use it with the treats that are meant for it but I also will use it with other treats, like I would a Lkng. The rubber is pretty durable but wouldn't leave it unattended for too long.

So we have had this for about a year now. It takes our dog forever to chew through one of the chews and keeps him entertained and distracted for a while. Now, a year in, the ball has kind of stretched and he’s able to pop the chew out and just eat it. Which doesn’t last him nearly as long. I’ll probably buy another one because it was great for a year, but now it’s not able to do its job anymore for unknown reasons.

The bento ball itself is great but the extra 16 treats that were sent as part of the purchase were the wrong kind. The picture used in the Amazon ad is the one shown in the left part of the picture I posted (dome shaped treats with a dog named Lacey in the picture), and what I received is shown in the right part of the picture (ridged treats with a dog named Bella in the picture). The problem with the Bella treats is that they are a bit smaller than the Lacey treats which means that they dont fit sugly into the bento ball. This in turn means that my little maltipoo gets them out of the bento ball in a few minutes. This defeats the whol purpose of the treat, and even worse this is a choking hazard for small dogs which makes the product unusable for me. FYI - I have never had this problem with the Lacey treats - they work great which is why I bought this product since this is what was shown in the picture.I sent a message to the vendor about this but have not heard anything back. Amazon offered to refund me half of the total purchase price if I sent back both the ball and the 7 of the 8 treat packages (I opened one only to discover this problem), which is also not great.

I had a smaller one of these and purchased too large of a treat so ended up ordering the larger version to fit the treat since I have a boxer. She LOVED this thing. Spent the entire evening working on it and rolling it around. It's good for her teeth due to the hardness of the treat and she enjoys it the entire time. Love seeing her get excited over a distracting treat as she is getting older. Material is super sturdy and clearly will last a very long time. The treat itself was gone by the next morning but I'm sure she worked on it for a large portion of the night.

By the end of the day my pit bull---60 pounds---had chewed all around the top to the point that it no longer held treats. Expensive toy for this to happen.

Our little dog goes mad for this toy. Of all the things we've bought over the years "Bento" is the one thing that she plays with all the time. It's not about the food, she just loves chasing it. It's a bit unpredictable because if you throw it, it's likely to bounce in any direction, and our dog loves it for that reason. If you put the treat inside, she'll spend hours trying to get at it. Seems to last forever as well, it's really rugged. Brilliant!!!!

My nearly 2-year-old goldendoodle is a champion chewer. He will chew up anything - shoes, gloves, a new roll of TP, pens, pencils, kids' toys, garden implements... you name it. He'll chew it. Giving him chew toys touted as "indestructible" simply don't last in our house -- obviously these aren't indestructible to all pups!. Those super hard plastic dog toys supposedly "flavored" with beef, chicken, etc. are a total waste of money for us -- he won't touch them. But the Starmark Everlasting Treat Bento Ball has proven to be the best thing yet that captures his attention. It's sort of a pain to insert the treat, but once it's in, my dog happily enjoys gnawing at it and will spend hours with it. Also, the Bento Ball doesn't roll straight, so he thinks it's fun to drop it and see where it goes. If there is a downside to this toy, it's that the refills are on the pricey side, but keeping our chewing champ busy with something safe is worth the expense. And, Starmark has you covered since it comes in a range of sizes as do the insertable flavored treats, so you'll want to be sure to pick the appropriate size toy and treat appropriate for your pooch. Our dog is about 60 pounds and the Large Bento Ball and large sized treats work perfectly for him.

Once my five pound monster of a pup has chewed the chew, I use the little ball to make 'sundaes' for him. Thin slice of banana, 1/2 teaspoon or so of mashed blueberries, and a sprinkle of hemp hearts, and into the freezer. The sundae, not the pup :)

The treat popped out and was eaten within minutes. It stunk really badly. The ball it comes in seems to entertain my dog though. It's pretty flimsy so I don't expect it to last long . I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchasing, waste of money

We have a dog who loves to chew up EVERYTHING!! She is constantly getting into things and if she can't reach an item of interest, she will find a way to get it, even if it means jumping up on the counter or pool table. LOL. We've tried every puzzle toy and treat you can imagine to keep her busy and tire her out mentally, but nothing really worked that well. She would figure the puzzles out quickly and become board with them after several uses, and preferred to try and chew up the plastic instead. Treats, like bully sticks, that should last a "long time" were gone within 10 minutes. I didn't have high hopes for this product given the history of our dog, but I WAS WRONG!!! The treat was already in the ball when it arrived, so I gave it to her like that. She licked, pawed, and chewed at this treat for hours and did not get board with it. She wore down a little of the dome shape on the treat by the end of the night, but there was still a lot left when I took it up. I gave it to her again the next evening and again it kept her busy. By the third day, the treat was worn down to a ring shape so I took the treat out of the ball and gave it to her. She ate it in about 3 minutes. After examining the ball, it is still in good shape with no damage like we found with hard plastic toys like the kong wobbler. We will definitely be ordering the refills to use with this ball. Best product we have found for busy, destructive dogs who become board easily.

My dog loves these, regardless of flavour. I have to make it tricky for him to get at in his toy, or it'll be gone in an hour! Keeps him occupied when company's over, so he doesn't jump all over them with excitement. He usually works at it all the time and has them done in a day or two, so I recommend these only for special occasions because they don't last long.

Achat inutile.
