This product keeps one of my most ball obsessed terriers busy, BUT he only likes these small orange ones. He plays and plays and plays and plays with them. The world ends for him if these orange balls disappear. Because of his love of the orange balls, he hides them from the other dogs in our house. Our other dogs prefer traditional tennis balls so that isn't an issue he really needs to fret over. The problem with hiding them is he forgets where he puts them. We can't find them either. There's no sign he eats them or chews them up. Perhaps he buries them, who knows? His orange ball searches can be loud and frantic. He only runs around with one at a time. We are down to one. The orange variety are getting hard to find. Disaster lies ahead for us if we don't resupply soon. Unhappy, bored terriers can be very destructive.

This ball is just a bit larger than a tennis ball but not by much. I would not have bought it if I knew it was smaller cuz my shepherds are 90 pounds…it’s really even too small for my lab but it’s a ball and they will run after it. It doesn’t squeak or crackle so really there is no noise. It would not be durable for a dog that is a chewer. It doesn’t bounce well cuz it’s a softer rubber and the color that I received (orange) was fine.

My dog was overweight but thanks to this dog toy's unique design , my dog is obsessed! She plays with this ball all day long, every day and is not overweight anymore at all! Thanks!

I’m very happy with these Chuckit! balls. I used to buy tiny tennis balls, but my dog would rip off the fuzz and end up throwing it up. I wanted to try something different, and these have been a great alternative! They’re durable, easy to clean, and my dog loves chasing them. Definitely worth it!

Great and VERY durable ball. Our Frenchie who usually destroys every single toy she gets loves this ball. It’s perfect for her size and with the way it’s made she can easily grab it and breathe while having it in her mouth (a HUGE plus for every flat faced dog)

My dogs, all sizes, have used this product for years. The lattice-like structure makes it easy to carry as they have lots of gripping surfaces. However this is not for heavy chewers, it’s a ball, not a chew toy.

These are my dogs absolute favourite, they are durable because the dog can’t bite them and break them in half like other tennis balls. They are super functional as the dogs can breath well with them. They fit the chuck it stick well, and bounce well. My dog loves them, and they entertain her for a long time. Great value, will continue to purchase.

These are brilliant! My bulldogs favorite ball. They are bouncy. Perfect for playing fetch. She also likes to put the whole thing in her mouth and chew on it sometimes. We have the medium and large. I like the large size because I’m nervous she will get the smaller ones somehow stuck in her throat. But because of the way they are made it makes me feel better about at least being able to breathe.Excellent quality and durability!*Update.* The balls can’t be expected to last forever, especially when playing fetch and tug of war with them. And yes they work well for that since I can easily hook my finger on the ball to get ahold. It’s been over 6 months and there are some areas that are worn down and beginning to break apart. However, I’m impressed on how well these hold up to daily play. I cannot praise these enough. The only thing that I’d like to see is more colors since my Gracie doesn’t want to share with her new brother.

I like the concept - the weave pattern with open areas for air flow help the dog to breathe easier during retrieving exercises. And that could help keep the dog a little cooler in hot weather. In theory, a ball stuck in a dog's throat could allow the dog to breathe until the ball can be removed. But this is not meant to be a chew toy, and like most balls, it will not hold up if used as one. It is flexible, so a dog that chomps at the ball a few times on the way back from retrieving it will probably not hurt it....at least my soft-mouthed Lab has not hurt hers. The real problem with this ball is that it is so light that it is difficult to get any distance on the throw. About the best I can do is maybe 2/3 of the distance I get on the whistler balls - and it takes a lot of effort to get it to go that far. Forget throwing it into the wind! Although the ball does bounce, the bounce is not near as "good "as the whistler balls, either; so I prefer the whistler balls. On warmer days I will continue to use these under our shade trees, throwing the balls manually instead of using the launcher. Distance is not important on those days, and my girl can still get a good workout doing shorter sprints. I generally like Chuckit! products, but this one fell a little short (pun intended).

Update: we're a month into this ball now and it is still in perfect condition and still the favorite inside the house ball. He couldn't find this ball today and insisted to me that the ball was inside the dryer. I picked up my boy and showed him the top of the dryer, his eyes went to all surfaces several times. He was not satisfied when I said, see it's not there. I had to empty the dryer to prove the ball was not inside the dryer. After crawling around with a flashlight to every corner of the laundry room, I gave up saying I didn't know where he put his ball. I went back to my chores while he sat in the laundry room doorway whining. After an hour, he gave up and fetched another ball, but he was elated when later I opened my closet door and there was the ball. Golly, my determined little dachshund adores this ball, and I'm here ordering another so I don't have to go through this "mom, I can't find my ball" disaster again.Original review: Good size ball for little dogs. My mini dachshund loves balls, day and night he wants a ball, and would play fetch 24 hours a day if I would cooperate. We use this as an inside ball, and it has a great bounce on the hard floor...he loves catching in mid air. This ball is 2.5" in diameter and is made in Vietnam of a sturdy, thick, but flexible rubber type material. While the size is good for little dogs, I do not recommend for a larger or even medium size dog. Neither does it seem durable enough for good sized chompers. My dachshund treasures his balls but this one he is gnawing on, something he hasn't done with any other balls, even soft, stuffed ones. The holes/empty space must encourage this. Therefore, this ball may not last long, but he has definitely added this ball to his treasures the past few days.
