The bronze coloring is just a surface covering. It scratches off easily! This does not have the mads_wieght of a Lodge. Better off spending a little more for Lodge!!! The best! Made in USA🇺🇸, also!

These things are machined to the perfect finish. Smooth, but not mirror smooth. Enough micro texture to hold and build seasoning, but still slick enough that you can rub it with a paper towels and not leave behind lint. Combined with the stay cool handle and it reminds me of carbon steel, without the rivets.

Lets just start with how gorgeous this pan is! It is absolutely beautiful. It comes seasoned and ready to cook with after a light washing. It is perfectly non-stick, when preheated well and can be used for everything. This is also the smoothest piece of cast iron that I have ever encountered. The craftmanship is exquisite. I make everything from cornbread to pancakes and falafel in this pan. It is my go-to cookware. One thing to note is that the color will change a bit as you re-season the pan, but it remains beautiful, functional and versatile. This is truly a generational piece of cookware.Pros:BeautifulWill be the last pan of this type you will ever need to buyVersatile. You can cook anything in this pan.Cons:HeavyRequires some maintenanceI would recommend this item 100 times over. I have learned that all I really need in my kitchen is a couple good pieces of cast iron and I can cook literally anything.

Worth every penny, the 12 inch size can be unwieldy at time however when it comes to big jobs this is what you want. The smooth surface creates an almost nonstick coating that is easy to clean and fun to cook on.Ps. The sticker designs are awesome

Probably the best cast iron pan I’ve ever owned, high quality. I use it on a flat glass stove in FL where everything is electric. Works great doesn’t warp or anything. For those experiencing issues I would assume people are leaving the pan on the stove on max heat and burning the crap out of it. This is a nice thick high quality pan.

Loses color a bit but still beautiful. Fun to cook on. Better than lodge. Will still warp a little on glass top stoves on high heat but goes back. Doesn’t seem to affect cooking. Handle stays relatively cool.

The Stargazer 10-inch cast iron skillet is a standout in the world of cast iron cookware. From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell this was a high-quality piece. The sleek, polished cooking surface is a game-changer—it’s incredibly smooth, making it more naturally non-stick compared to traditional rough-surfaced cast iron. This also makes cleaning much easier, as food doesn’t cling as stubbornly. The design is both functional and elegant. The handle is longer than most, which not only provides better leverage but also stays cooler for longer when cooking on the stovetop. The flared sides and curved lip are fantastic additions, allowing for easy pouring without spills—a small detail that makes a big difference. In terms of performance, it heats evenly and retains heat exceptionally well, just as you’d expect from good cast iron. It’s perfect for everything from searing steaks to frying eggs or baking cornbread. Once properly seasoned, it performs like a dream, and the seasoning only improves with use. While it is a bit heavier than some other options, I consider this a fair trade-off for its durability and superior cooking performance. The extra weight feels solid and sturdy in your hands, reassuring you that this is a pan that will last a lifetime.Overall, the Stargazer 10-inch skillet combines modern innovation with the timeless reliability of cast iron. It’s not just a pan—it’s an investment in better cooking. Highly recommended for anyone who loves quality cookware!

I was surprised that this pan is very heavy. So far it's not a non stick. Things stick to it, I've been seasoning it as prescribed but still. Now I've only used it about 5 times so I'm hoping it will season better and things won't stick as much. If I was to do it again I would want a smaller pan. This one is just to big for me and the element I like to cook on. I use an induction stove and it heats up on it. It does tend to burn in one area of the pan and it doesn't sit totally flat. It's a beautifully looking pan. Came with no lid.so I use a lid from another pan I own. I'm hopeful it will season out and become my favorite pan.

This is my first cast iron skillet and it is very cool. Great universal size. I fry and bake in it. The handle does not heat up.To avoid disappointment, consider the nuances of working with cast iron and caring for it.

The pan is great but big patches of the factory seasoning came off after the first cook. I strongly recommend adding your own seasoning before using heavily. I reseasoned and it came out a beautiful looking pan and now cooks amazingly. Handle does a decent job at dissipating heat but you'll still need a cover for longer, hotter cooks. The only downside was the handle shape; super awkward in the hand and not very comfortable. Overerall, though, it's an excellent pan and great value. Highly recommend.
