You're getting what you pay for. No matter how securely you lock in the support cuff, within an hour of playing it's loosened up and you're on a bit of a pogo stick.Although it feels rickity, I kinda like it as I get rocking about. But that's me enjoying a design flaw, not a feature.That said, it was cheap in relation to others, and I can easily sit and hammer away in my garage for 4 hours at a time without my butt hurting!Not sure if I'd want to sit on it if I were 250+ lbs.

Solid throne for the big man

I was wanting a soft cushiony seat, but this seat is too firm. It's ok if you are sitting for short amounts of time but I practice drums for a few hours a day. By the end of practice my back side is hurting, almost like sitting on metal football bleachers.

From a professional drummer standpoint this throne is basically useless, it is extremely wobbly, unreliable, very poor quality and when I try to tighten it it will eventually come loose and fall apart! This throne will ruin your overall technique on the drums! The fact that this company is falsely advertising this throne as sturdy and quality is absolutely insulting! I know now to never get cheap knock off drum gear such as this from Amazon and I advise any other musician to save up to buy the top of the line name brand drum companies such as Pearl or Tama who make the best hardware plus you could buy them used to save money. Do not buy this overpriced sorry excuse for a drum throne!

This throne like others said does do a minor wobble but it doesn’t feel cheap at all! It is incredibly comfortable to sit and play on for hours on either drums or guitar. I plan on ordering extras soon for my acoustic project everyone who has sat on this throne absolutely loves the comfortability of it.

The padding is lovely on this throne and the height is perfect for me as a 6'1" person. It is nice and heavy and feels sturdy. The only gripe is sometimes the seat bolts loosen and the seat starts to swivel ever so slightly left to right. Seems a small gripe and not worth docking any stars over. Great purchase and I would recommend it to anyone.

This Throne is exactly what I pictured it to be! Obviously I wasn’t expecting something way out of the park amazing but it works for me. It does it’s job well and it hasn’t broken down at all since I assembled it. It has a little wobble which isn’t really a problem for me because it doesn’t wobble unless I lean very far to grab something while sitting down. You literally won’t even realize the wobble is there if you simply use the chair for playing purposes. Obviously if somebody uses the chair to change a lightbulb than that’s different, but Overall an amazing product and highly recommend for drummers

I am a hand drummer playing a Djembe. I purchased the updated Starfavor Drum Throne to get height and comfort. A previous throne I have used did not hold the seat position and often wobbled. I selected the Starfavor ST-500 based on the improvements promised over a previous model of this throne. It was a good decision. I have been using this seat for a number of gigs over a few weeks and find it very stable. The seat does not shift around or come apart during a gig. There are no wobbles and the wider, larger feet further stabilize the throne. The additional bolts added keep the seat in place at all times, very necessary since my drum base needs to be positioned between the throne feet. The assembly was easy. All I had to do was to attach the shaft into the seat and stand. The screw type shaft makes it easy to adjust the height and the range goes higher than other thrones I tried. I do not need to take the throne apart for transport. Only have to fold down the stand. I need to add that the Starfavor Company listened to the comments on Amazon and fixed every issue mentioned and their customer service proved to be responsive, helpful and honest. I highly recommend the ST-500 Drum Throne.

Let me begin with some history... I have been drumming for nearly 40 years. I currently own 4 drum kits and need a throne for each setup. I own a Roc N Soc hydraulic, which is probably the best throne I have ever owned - it is very sturdy, comfortable and versatile. However, it is heavy and expensive! I also have a Tama first chair... also very sturdy and comfortable - but it creaks a little. Too noisy for studio recording. I have a couple Gibraltar mid-tier thrones too. But I figured it was time to upgrade and didn't want to spend over a hundred bucks. A couple weeks back, I purchased a different Starfavor throne for about $65 here on Amazon. It was lightweight and had a large motorcycle style memory foam cushion. The base was sturdy but did not extend quite high enough for me (I sit much higher than most drummers I know) and the seat was hard as a rock. I immediately returned it and took a chance with this model. And wow! This is perfect match! Super comfortable cushion - very sturdy and adjustable base. And best of all, it extends to over 25 inches - just the right height for me! My only complaint is the heavy odor (off-gassing) from the plastics. But I'm sure it will air out in a few weeks. Great buy. I heartily recommend!
