I have a couple thrones and this one just is the most comfortable. Great seat and the gas stem makes it feel far less stiff than other thrones. I have two of these because they are that good.

I waited two years for the extended lifter model to come back in stock. I finally gave up and went with the standard. My butt is now mad at me for making me wait.Very comfortable. Bass player using an NS Design bass cello. Very comfortable sitting. Not really tall enough for comfortable bowing, but I don’t do that too often and just stand for that. If they ever remember how to make the extended lift model that probably gets you to a good bowing position.I was little concerned that I could only get the red top model, but in the usual stage position the audience doesn’t see it so it doesn’t really matter.

I purchased this throne (love saying throne) for use in my pottery studio. I've tried everything out there offered for potters and was never impressed with anything. I spend a full work day at my wheel, so comfort is a big deal. Who knew a drummer's throne was the answer? The seat style, where my legs hang free on the sides is great and puts less pressure on my back. The cushion is thick and seat surface area is huge. I like to sit high to throw. This was one problem I found with the saddle style potter's stool - it was too low and it seemed to sink down a few inches when you sat on it. This throne has a nice height range and a firm feeling when you sit - it doesnt sink. The feet stay put on my concrete floor. The only negative for me, and this is a purpose issue and not really a roduct fault, is that I wish the fabric was vinyl or something I could easily wipe clean in the studio. Still, it looks great in the red. Great product! You can feel the quality.

Love it, I've been debating a guitar throne for a long time, once I realized just get a drum throne I found this and got it. This puts the guitar thrones I've tried and seen to shame.I read how high it adjusts wow, didn't realize 27" inches was that high until I was sitting on it LOL ;-) the shock is really strong too, almost lifts me up on its own.The Lunar base is awesome for guitar playing, very stable. The feet are marked "Glide" on Roc-n-Soc's website, they are a bit like furniture movers where the bottom is glossy and smooth, I was going to put casters on it but seeing now how well it glides on the carpet I don't think I will.Edit: I bought this in January of 2018 and it's now November 2018 and the adhesive which holds the fabric to the seat has completely come undone. I use it everyday but was hoping for a bit more life before it started to show signs of such wear and tear. Removing a ranking star with this update.

I was looking for a throne to replace my office chair to play keyboards with in my studio. It didn't come with casters, but I quickly replaced the original feet with casters from the office chair I was replacing. It was a perfect fit. I like the height difference between fully up and down. It's also solidly build.
