This is my first vinyl scratch turntable and I'm very happy with it. If you are like I was and are stuck between deciding to get this or forking over more money for the reloop, get this! Unlike the reloop this already has a nice fader installed and costs way less. The only thing I can complain about is the tone arm is a little loose, like the other reviews mention, but that doesnt seem to affect the sound at all. The build quality on everything else is really good.PS If you bought this thinking you are going to play 12inch vinyl on it...lol...just lol

I was excited when I bought this turntable. I got it delivered and to my surprise I open up the outer packaging and noticed there was a huge tear across the original box. As I inspect the box I can hear pieces going around inside each time I turn the box which wasn't a good sign I thought. It turns out one of the locking sides that holds the turntable and cover together was broken off. If it was fixable I would've done it myself and ignored the issue but I couldn't. So I'm returning it today and feel bummed out 😞. However the turntable itself was legit. I did use it for a bit and had fun with it. I'm for sure buying another one once I get my refund.

If you were to purchase the Innofader crossfader on this unit, that would cost you $150 alone. So, do the math. This is a great price point for a really fun portable turntable. I had no difficulty getting it set up. It's pretty much ready to go out of the box. I only wish that the headphone jack wasn't in the back, but that is far from a deal breaker. Torque is good. Motor responsive. Great curve controls. Perfect for scratch beginners or scratch pros.

This is hands down the best portable scratching turntable I have used. Just make sure the battery is charged or the Bluetooth doesn't work properly.

Only plays 6 inch records so it's only good for turntablists, but it's good for what you get. Great fader and great for practice. It also has it's own speaker so you don't need to connect to an outside source if you were wondering

Update: After using this for a month, I still really like it. The platter seems to have settled in with use & no longer wobbles. The turntable performs really well. I replaced the stock needle (As one does). And with many hours on it the STX is holding up. I use the Bluetooth from my phone all the time to practice with headphones and it’s a convenient setup.I have also noticed a few things about the power supply & battery that are annoying.First - The spare battery does not connect to anything. It doesn’t power the device, nor does it charge. Any battery stored there will slowly discharge and probably be dead when you go to swap it.So I jumped the spare battery in parallel with the other and now my battery lasts twice as long and both batteries charge. (It REALLY should have come from the factory this way.)Second, after using it for a while plugged in, the charging circuit does NOT trigger charging the battery again until the USB-C is unplugged and plugged back in?! So even if it’s plugged in, sometimes it doesn’t charge. All in all, the charging circuit is not a great design and has become my only real complaint about this turntable. I now carry 2 spare 18650 batteries in my bag, just in case…Original Review:The Stanton STX is a really cool turntable for anyone looking to practice their DJ scratch skills on the go. So far I’m fairly impressed with this device. It’s plastic, but is solidly built. It has good sound and decent control options. The lid is very well designed and locks on whether used as a lid or as a stand. The tonearm doesn’t bounce or skip when scratching and the built in speaker is serviceable. Having rechargeable batteries is a plus also. On the negative side, while there are several outputs, only one of them works at a time. (No using headphones + RCA at the same time.)My favorite thing about this turntable is probably the innofader nano. It feels smooth, sounds smooth and makes the STX more fun to play.My least favorite thing about the STX is the platter. It has a slight wobble in it that is annoying. If I were to make one change to this device I’d make the platter metal. Luckily there is an active modding community. So a metal platter may actually be a possibility! All in all this is a good turntable for anyone who wants to learn to scratch DJ, or anyone who wants a portablist rig to practice on the go with, or to mod. It’s not perfect but it’s pretty darned good.

I purchased this beautiful record player/DJ scratch turntable. What I didn't realize is that it only plays 7 inch records not 12 inch records. It plays 7 inch records at three different speeds 33,45 and 78, but only 7 inch. I can't begin to tell you how disappointed that makes me because it has such great features. It even has USB recording which is fantastic and you don't need to hook it up to a computer to digitize vinyl, just plug in a USB thumb drive and hit recorder. Sadly I had to return it because I can't claim my 12 inch albums on it..
