      Perfect Feel
The NS7 has two seven-inch, motorized, high-torque aluminum turntable platters, and the turntable controls feature modern and classic settings that alter the feel to model the feel you prefer. Seven-inch, legit vinyl records with 45 RPM adapters sit on real slipmats--no simulation.

Solid, rugged, rubberized buttons and knobs compliment a high precision, replaceable CP-PRO crossfader and D-TYPE line faders for an unquestionably high-quality feel. The CP-PRO digital-VCA crossfader has a solid feel that is smooth and rigid. Like the crossfader, the D-TYPE digital-VCA line faders are replaceable. The crossfader offers contour adjust and reverse adjustment, enabling you to customize its operation.

      System Simplicity
Forget the mouse and the keyboard. The NS7 renders ITCH software perfectly simple to operate, with its click knob and large, backlit buttons navigating though your music library. You'll spend less time looking at the screen and more time enjoying performing thanks to the visual feedback you get from NS7's more-than 100 LEDs and more-than 100 hands-on controls.

A single USB cable between NS7 and your Mac or PC is all you need to send audio and data back and forth. The NS7 has onboard audio outputs so it's the only piece of gear you need to connect to the PA system or powered speakers. It outputs 24-bit, 44.1 kHz digital audio to the sound system on XLRs and RCAs. The front panel contains mic input, RCA line input, and both 1/4" and 1/8" headphone outputs with volume control.

The NS7 comes with an integrated laptop stand that supplies safe, secure mounting for your laptop. You can use an ultra-small space because NS7 elevates your laptop off the table.

      Precision Control
The NS7 sends control information over USB at more than ten times the standard MIDI rate. This innovative communication technique yields extremely high-precision, low-latency control.

There's nothing like dropping the needle on a record for quickly locating a point in the track, and with Strip Search--the unique virtual-needle-drop touch strip--you can locate a point instantly within the track using the on-screen waveform

Five hot-cue-assign buttons on each deck digitally mark your cues on the track. These marker points are recallable in ITCH and Scratch LIVE, and you can load Scratch LIVE cue points in ITCH.

Each deck offers an extensive Serato-style loop section, and you can choose between manual and auto-loop functions and an automatic BPM analyzer further assists loop makers. Creating automatic smart loops of any measure length is a breeze, and you can mutilate and modify to heart's content with a variety of controls such as Doubling, Halving, Shift, and manual controls.

      Audio Quality
The NS7 contains a host of professional audio connectors and a multichannel, 24-bit USB digital-audio interface. The high-definition post-mix analog audio output features a minimized circuit path with containing only one audiophile-grade bipolar capacitor. This optimized design maximizes phase coherence, ensuring that audio is tight and punchy.

      Serato ITCH Software
IF you use Scratch LIVE, you'll become quickly familiar with Serato ITCH. Because ITCH doesn't require a timecode interface, your system can be as simple as, say, NS7 and your computer. Since ITCH makes timecode a thing of the past, you won't need to worry about needles skipping or vinyl wearing out. You can load your Scratch LIVE crates, loops, presets, and cue points seamlessly in ITCH. The NS7 also works with most other MIDI DJ software and supports iTunes.

ITCH handles audio processing and mixing including channel fading, EQ, crossfading and track trim are processed for outstanding control and management of your tracks, ease of recording your set, clip-proof gain management, and BPM calculation using the power of your computer's processor.

The History function in ITCH keeps a comprehensive record of every track played and exports sessions from your history to 'txt', 'csv', or 'm3u'. ITCH also has a Loop Roll function that provides a looping effect where the playhead jumps back to normal time when you release the loop. Built-in key support ensures that ITCH reads key tags from MP3 files and displays them in the 'key' column in your library.

After being in operation for more than a couple minutes or so the turntable starts to emit a moderately loud buzzing noise. It'd be a great turntable if it weren't for the annoying noise it makes. ITCH is a big buggy, and for some reason, it wants to crash my computer if I turn off the turntable before I quit the program. Other than that, pretty decent turntable.

First I bought the NUMARK RADIUS 2000, but it did not have everythingI was looking for. The Numark NS7/FX is a wonderful. It has motorized job wheelsand easy to use and has XLR, RCA USB outputs. It is easy to work with and theeasy to find the buttons under low light. Make sure you buy a case for it sinceit is heavy(45 pounds) and not easy to move without the case.I am very satisfied with it.

I purchased my NS7 in 2009. It cost me $200 to ship to to Hawaii. 2 hours after I got it, a number of the buttons stopped working. I shipped it back to Amazon, and they reimbursed me about half of the shipping cost back and sent me another one. The replacement has been the buggiest piece of junk I've ever had, and shipping it back to Numark for service will cost me more than the stupid thing is worth. Occasionally, I will push the auto-repeat button, and the song will skip to a random position. The buttons (nearly all of them either register twice when I press them, or not at all. The channel fader lasted less than 2 years, before it needed to be replaced. The crossfader, about 6 months. The tone control knobs are wobbly, and feel like they're going to break off. Occasionally, the unit stops responding all together. If you've got 1200 bucks to spend, buy something else.

So much fun. My old computer with vista home premium 32 bit worked great with it beside the fact that I had a slow processor. I got a new laptop with an i5 processor, but made the mistake of getting 64 bit Windows 7. Still waiting on a final version of the drive hardware so I can use my faster laptop with the ns7.

I purchased my NS7 in March 2010 and in August the strip search on my unit started to malfunction. I called Numark support on 8/13/10 and sent it off. My NS7 returned to me on 9/9/2010. BUT when I open my box, I realized that my unit's platters had not been tightly secured, and had been flopping around while loosely threaded on the spindles. While testing my returned unit, I noticed that, A: My platters now wobbled, did not feel the same, and my left deck made a squeaking noise when back spinning quickly. AND, B: The original problem with the strip search had not been repaired. So....I called Numark and got a new Return Authorization and a promise from a manager that it would be back to me quickly, and that it would be tested before leaving this time. It's now been almost 12 weeks since I originally sent off my unit and I'm losing patience. I can tell the phone techs are growing impatient too (its getting harder to get them on the phone). I've been told that my unit is repaired and it's in testing. Maybe I'm over reacting but it has been "in testing" at the factory for over 3 weeks. Now I'm wondering if my unit will be the same, and if not, what will happen then?Probably more of the Numark service department telling me what I want to hear, and blowing me off.

This is the best DJ controller on the market, the BEST hands down. A must have for any dj -New or veteran. But the software (ITCH) is lacking, I would go with VDJ or Numark CUE 6. You'll see. There is just too much problems and Itch doesn't perform as well as VDJ or CUE. I have had NO PROBLEMS whatsoever with VDJ or CUE, but many with ITCH. Latencey and memory hog issues. It's not the controller every one! ITCH is just not what it was cracked up to be. So if you get this software, then prepare to chell out about 300 more dollars for VDJ/Numark CUE 6.My set up:Sony Viao :VGN-NW150jVista Premuim 64 bitIntel Core 2 Duo 2.10 GHz4.00 GB of Ram350 GB HDD plus another 500 on an Toshiba ExternalKORG NANOPAD- (MIDI MAP the effects instead of paying 300 more dollars for a NSFX controller)

The Numark ns7 is every Dj's dream. It works exactly how it's setup to work, no confusion. There is nothing bad to say about the ns7. Every review that I have ever looked up about the Numark ns7 never had problems or issues with the unit except, for one malfuntion which Numark has upgraded and fixed. The stylish, very convient and powerful sturdy build is all you need along with a computer, headphones and a pair of speakers to get the party rocking. Having everything at you finger tips for easy plug and play makes setup so much easier. Not to mention the awsome Itch softwear from Serato that lets you play all your digital music and kick the heavy record crates away makes this product the best all in one DJ package on the market for your money.
