Bought it to hang off of my backpack for hiking and it makes a weird sound from something inside of it that I threw it away. If I can't have it close at hand what's the point. Super annoying.

Gets the job done. Whistle won't make your ears ring but it's loud enough. Compass is accurate. Put some laundry lint and matches inside the container for survival situation :)

Don’t buy this if you want it for the compass. The compass is garbage and barely works and when it does it doesn’t point in the correct direction. All it does is freely turn.

Very cute. Whistle works well and I like the compass. There is enough room in the little container for about 6 matches. Perfect for our grab and go bag in case of a quick evacuation.
