I’m an electrician and I can’t leave home without this. Most of my commercial work is with metal studs. The magnet on the tape allows me to quickly measure my conduit quickly. Solid tape that last a long time. I often use the tape to pick up dropped fittings and hardware from on top of my ladder using the magnet. Love it.

This was hard to find on Amazon. It took a bit, but this is the absolute best tape measure ever made with the magnet and wide sturdy tape. I use it everyday.

A must have for any sheet metal worker! Magnet will attach to galvanized and stainless steel well, enough give to move to adjust, but not so much that it will fall off suddenly. My fiancé uses his every single day, and it's a forever piece in his toolbox.

Quality tape. Much stronger magnet that my Klein and milwaukee. Unfortunately the lack of measurements on the flip side and likewise a hook that would support underside measuring forces me to keep those widely inferior tapes around.The stand out is also pretty incredible. I can get about 9 with the Klein, 11 with the milwaukee, and consistently 13 with the Stanley. You really don't think a long standout would be useful but you might be surprised how much more fluid your projects or job can go if you don't have to readjust to take your measurements.Did I mention the magnet was very strong?

Works great for awhile, but every so often the magnet pops off and you have to clip it back on. Dab of super glue fixed it up.

This possibly the best tape measure I've ever used.Pros:1. Made of quality materials that make it very durable.2. It won't fold over or snap easily and stands up to its guarantee that it can stand out 11 feet with no support before snapping. (I got it to 12)3. It comes with a magnet on the end that is very useful for hard to reach places and measuring off of or in between studs. (Unless you're not working around metal studs. But I use it for conduit too.)4. The tape is extra wide and the numbers can be seen easily which really helps when you have to measure ceiling height from the ground.Cons:1. Just one minor issue... The magnet popped right off when I slid the tape back into place, and it will now pop off whenever I put it back on and retract the tape. This is a small issue and only happened after some use.

As usual, Stanley makes a great tool. I had an old Stanley tape that was likely 25 years old and I'd let get a bit rusty as well as dropped some things on the ruler itself, so it was time to replace. Considering how long these Stanley products last, I'm surprised they don't charge more.I really like how well this model allows you to extend the tape in the air without folding. My old tape eventually deformed a bit where I'd accidentally extend it more than the weight would allow and cause a crease in it. There are times when you just need to measure 10' or so and being able to stand there and get a rough measure is awesome.The spring is working great. I've had some cheap tapes that you had to help feed back in over time. So far, this one is working well and I expect it to hold up to my abuse for many years.The magnet on the end of the tape was a bit new to me. Surprisingly, I've found it helpful a few times as it can attach to a large nail or metal object and hold pretty good. I've tried to abuse it a bit to see if comes off accidentally and had no issues with it yet.Overall, this is a great tape measure for a very reasonable price. Considering how well Stanley products generally hold up, it's an easy sell.

I bought this because I couldn't find the magnetic version in local stores. I like the fact that the magnet feels strong like a rare earth magnet, and it's secure to the tape. I also like the way fatmax tapes can extend pretty far without falling and the large print measurements for when you're reading stuff far away. The 25' will only be obtainable if you're really slowly extending it though, and not sideways.

Product as advertised. Magnetic end is very strong, and stand-out distance is quite helpful. Too bad it doesn't have metric, but that was my erroneous assumption.
