I tried smoothing foam with hot knives and sand paper...this does an amazing job! Makes gentle curves in foam! Smooths rough lines. If you carve with foam, buy one of these!!!

Use this to shape a foam motorcycle seat. Worked great. Took little effort. Should last a long time for my use.

We use it for shaping and smoothing wood and clay / pottery. Shapes faster than sandpaper.

Fantastic and easy to use tool for working with wood, plaster, and old latex paint. Does a great job of smoothing down rough wood, corners, and edges after cutting. Makes short order of removing old peeling paint and especially old paint drips. And I've used it too on textured walls to smoothen out rough, irregular texture splatters and the like before painting. I would recommend that you reverse the blade so that it cuts as you pull the tool toward you rather than on the push stroke away from you. You will have much more accurate control. Not sure why it's not like this from the manufacturer. Try it both ways and see for yourself. Thanks Stanley, great tool. ☺

While most people use this tool for shaping wood or Bondo, I purchased it for use on my goats hooves. After lightly trimming their hooves with hoof shears I use this tool to soften and clean up the edges of their hooves to give them a clean hoof. I have previously used this product to remove rough spots and imperfections when working with Bondo Body Filler.

this rasp is absolutely worth the money, key too if you need to shape foam, wood, etc. The blades arrived very sharp and have held usable sharpness for a long time. The rasp has a nice ergonomic angle, is very lightweight and easy to use in long sessions.I am using this rasp to shape foam, works very well at holding a straight light line or gouging deep in a hurry. recommended.

This is a great little tool, as long as you understand that it is not a pro tool, and not for anything but small, very small jobs.My Ikea bed frame is starting to sag a little in the middle. It has 2 drawers and the sagging frame is preventing the drawers to open smoothly. This little guy was just right, small enough to get under the frame and good enough to shave off some material so that it clears the drawers.Just remember, small/cheap hand tool. If you have a large job, or something that requires a good finish, this is not for you.

I will update once I use it, but I can already tell this is a very flimsy tool. I know it was meant for small spots, but I was really hoping for something more than this. The handle is not much stronger than if I took a plastic cup (from like Taco Bell) and folded it a couple times. It has a small head, if that is what your looking for.
