This part was exactly like the original from my 2004 vehicle. It was an easy install fitting perfectly.

This was a good quality switch that was half of the price I was offered from Orielly’s locally.

This switch came with excellent installation instructions which were easy to follow. Though it's never fun getting up under the steering column to replace a part, this wasn't too bad a job. The toughest part was getting the little tabs on the plunger side of the switch, to seat into the corresponding holes on the mounting bracket so that you could rotate it and secure the switch. This was a lot harder than I thought it should be, but I eventually got it in, turned the little lever on the side, and everything works! This fixed our problem of the brake lights sticking on intermittently and coming on by themselves long after you'd left the truck - draining the battery at least twice. This repair probably saved us at least $200 at the shop.

I am always Leary of parts when I read some reviews, but this one is fine. it is a Standard, with the setup switch at a 45, snapped in nice and snug and took about 2 minutes or less. Brake lights work correctly now.

It fit and it fixed the issue I was having with brake lights staying one. My only concern / complaint is that the retention arms (those little pieces of plastic near the plunger) looked thin. I had to apply more force than I was comfortable with to get it to turn into place. I was thinking it would break, however, it finally turned and seated as it should. Steps to install:1) remove wiring clip / harness from old sensor (will need to move an orange slide then pull out).2) turn old sensor counter clockwise and gently pull out.3) put new sensor in the same way old came out. Harness receptacle should be facing diagonally towards the floorboard. Turn clockwise to seat (may give resistance. Just be as gentle as possible).4) reconnect wiring harness / clip and slide orange slide into locked position.5) flip lever on the back clockwise from a diagonal position to straight up and down. DO NOT TOUCH the brake pedal while doing this. These must be the last step. If done too early, it will make your sensor useless.6) test brake lights for proper function.
