Bought for 2004 Dodge 2500 with 48RE Transmission. Works well enough, but like many of these aftermarket ones, a bit notchy and does not always register park very well. Its not leaking which is why I replaced it in the first place, so it's good enough for now since OEM is no longer an option.

06 dodge 5.9 my autozone one I bought went to crap so I ordered this and replaced the part and it fixed the box around the gears and fixed my reverse lights and backup camera the truck can still shift but this was a safety problem when backing up because the truck didn't know it was in reverse so my lights or camera didn't turn on great fix.

I bought a different brand off ebay and actually made my 48re transmission reading worse. It never knew which gear it was in. This brand instantly fixed it; just like OEM mopar unit. Was replaced on 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 5.9ctd.

Got this for my leaky 48re. It fixed the leak but the reverse lights were stuck on. The alarm would go off if I started the truck with the door open. Took it to my mechanic and he said this is a really cheaply made part and he was surprised I made it to the shop. Do not buy this part. I should have listened to the other bad reviews.

In my 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 with the 5.9L Cummins Diesel and 171k miles, I had an issue that was more of an annoyance than a mechanically functional issue. Essentially, the truck would not always report the correct gear that was selected in the cluster. Even in park, the ring around the "P" would appear and disappear. When this was the case, the truck would often honk, flash the running lights as if you were pulling out of park, or glitch when trying to start). Reverse was unreliable, the backup lights would flicker. Sometimes while in Drive the truck would report that it was in reverse and the reverse lights would come on. After doing some research I dialed it to this Transmission Range Selector. Clearly the old unit was putting out sporadic voltage. I observed some leakage around the old unit. Purchasing this unit, I used a T25 Torx with a 1/4" ratchet to remove the 2 mounting screws. Popped out the old unit - this takes some force. No fluid came out, though I hear it can in some cases. Installing the new unit is nothing short of a pain. With some wiggling and getting the right arm position, I was able to line everything up and hold in place while I fastened the screws. After 20 minutes of jiggling I finally got everything in. My problem with the gear selector instantly solved. No issues. Note that Amazon reports this does not work with my truck, but this is not the case, it does indeed work. Other websites correctly indicate that it does work. Buy with confidence.
