Of the 2 units I purchased, both of the top switches failed in closed signal position. Very frustrating and time consuming. Turns out the following circuit wherein the float switch was used to toggle a standard low ma Bosch relay caused each one to blow out the top float switch. Specifically, substituting the more available industry standard Bosch relay CANNOT be used in replacement of the sponcer's HH54P multi-port relay configuration. For example, in a bilge pump out configuration: a single Bosch relay powered at pin 30 (power) from panel's auto switch, grounded at pin 85, Top switch red leads attach one to pin 30 (power to feed trigger only) and other at pin 86 (trigger), Bottom switch configured in latch mode by attaching one of its black leads to pin 86 (trigger) and the other to pin 87 (Normally Open output "NO" ), attach pump + bat terminal to pin 87 (NO output) and - bat terminal ground to pin 85 (ground). Power from an override switch can be simply attached to pump at pin 30 (power). Similarly, an alarm may be added in parallel to the pump. Short story, don't try this, only works in theory!

When I connect, the two black leads to my multimeter, I don’t get continuity with any configuration of the floats. The red lead and the top float seem to respond normally. So I don’t think I am wiring this incorrectly, I think the product is not functioning correctly.I guess I’ll go back to the seller on eBay that I got my first float switch from that worked fine.

These are well thought out. I placed the lower float between the primary pump float and in between the back up pump float. This way you set the alarm message as "Check if Main Pump Failed". The higher float I worded as "Extremely High Pit Water". These are CLOSED loop devices. Each contact opens at float trip levels. Alarms systems commonly use "closed loops" as part of the circuit supervision.

While not clear from the description, you can remove the C-clips and reverse the floats. As shipped, the lower float switch (black leads) are a completed circuit when the lower float is DOWN. Same for the upper float (red leads) are completed when the upper float is DOWN.But if you want, you can reverse the floats. In my case, I needed the upper float to complete the circuit when the upper float is is UP. No problem. Also, I have one of these in a fully submerged sump pit for the last 5 years. Mineral deposits have formed, but still water-tight and still working.I recommend.

I used this to replace the plastis level switch on Brio water dispenser. First, I thought it is opposite between NC vs NO. However. It works as original part. With Stainless steel materials l, I believe this product is better quality than the plastic stuffs. My Countertop water dispenser is Brio name. Hope this help.

Am using one of these to control the water level in my RO storage tank, linked to a couple of tiny DIL relays as the trigger and reset inputs to a flip flop circuit which in turn drives an electronic valve.

safety on a water barrel... pump turns on when it is too full, turns off when level is correct. Could probably use it in an aquarium to keep the level up...
