I've had a plastic one of these for years, and it especially gets used whenever we cook up large batches of ground hamburger. The only problem is that you really had to work at it because the plastic was dull and the handle would flex a little. This thing is a tank, cuts like a hot knife through butter, and cleans up in the dishwasher at the hottest settings to ensure its properly sanitized without threatening to melt.

They are not kidding, this is heavy duty! This is as described, the edges are sharp and I have not used this in my pans, I just got a high quality stainless steel and I am afraid to use this and scratch them. I have used it on raw meat for my animals and it works really well, easy to clean. For my pans, I will stick to my heavy duty silicone.

I ordered this because I'm trying out new recipes and the videos all show the chef using this type of tool. Once it arrived I realized I made a mistake - NO way I'm using this metal tool in my brand new nonstick pans. It's edges are sharp and mean business. The whole tool is very sturdy - there's nothing flimsy about this at all. The handle provides excellent grip. I ended up using it to break up my dog's FreshPet roll. It works GREAT for chopping the solid meat roll down into safer chunks. It cleans well, though it doesn't just rinse off easily - the meat gets stuck in the corners of the blades but I use a scrub brush to get the noticeable parts out then throw it into the dishwasher. It comes out good as new. While I wouldn't recommend using it in a pan for fear it would damage the pan, it makes quick work on meats with a cutting board.

This is a great meat masher, I use it on my non stick pans so I don't use a lot of pressure so I don't scratch the pans but I wanted to try this since the silicone one drives me nuts because it just slips and bends and is more dangerous than useful. But I like this one, it's very effective without having to push too hard and I break it all down early so I can switch to a different silicone utensil to mix etc further on. But this is very easy to use

Flattering, comfortable, nice stretch, but don’t stay stretched out. Wash well. No shrinkage. Awesome color! Didn’t bleed. Excellent

I have one of these in plastic and thought this one in metal would be great. The chopping edges are about a quarter of the size of the plastic ones. It also isn't remotely sharp. It does an okay job but could do better.

I have been using the nylon meat chopper for a long time and really like it. It chops up ground beef and sausage perfectly, especially for pizza when I need it in small pieces. This meat chopper seemed more ergonomically friendly, so I wanted to try it. The blades are a bit sharper than the nylon one. I had partially thawed ground beef and this worked really well chopping it up. It easily went through the meat, with little effort. The only downside with this meat chopper is it probably shouldn’t be used on nonstick surfaces. I didn’t try it but I would think it might scratch the surface. Otherwise, it’s nice to have another option for a meat chopper.
