I was very excited to get this set up and running. I've had cats forever, and the plastic pans just always get nasty smelly. No amount of cleaning can really get the smell out. I'm assuming due to this being stainless steel, that shouldn't be an issue down the line.The lid part is plastic and the bottom is the stainless steel. Very easy to set up, and quickly as well. This has several ways you can use it, with the lid, without, with the door on and without. I use it with the lid on, mainly to help keep the litter in the box rather than outside of it. And for now, we don't have the door on, but the goal is to eventually get that on to help reduce odors even further hopefully. It also has a little step, which my cats don't need. But it's still nice because it helps reduce the litter being tracked out on their paws.It's big enough for my cats, and they're using it with no problems. Price is a bit steep IMO, but looking at the prices of plastic ones, those are expensive too for what they are. Overall very happy with this one and do recommend it.

I ordered this extra-large stainless steel cat litter box to replace the classic one my cats had, and I’m really impressed! It fits perfectly in the nook of my cafe area, so it blends right in without being an eyesore.One of the main reasons I wanted to switch was because the old litter box had stubborn litter marks—brown spots and gray stains that wouldn’t go away, no matter how often I cleaned it. But with this stainless steel box, those issues are gone. The swivel door is great for trapping odors, and it even has a hatch lock for easy access when it’s time to scoop the litter.I also love the grilled stepper—when the cats step in and out, it traps the litter, so I don’t have to deal with it all over the floor. This has made cleaning so much easier and has really helped keep the space around it neat. If you’re looking for something that’s low-profile, functional, and easier to maintain, this is definitely worth it.

Very nice litter box. We have three cats, and I now have three stainless steel bottom litter boxes. The bottom of all three are the same as this one, and they are all magnificent for cleaning. Slightly rounded corners make it super easy. The plastic upper components are different on all three, and these really high quality. There are multiple ways to set it up so that you could have it completely enclosed, with the door flap, or remove the flap, or the roof, or the walls. I have mine set up with the roof removed, and the walls in place. Makes it impossible for the cat or cats too kick litter out, but makes it as easy as possible to clean. If you have concerns with odor, just keep the roof on. There are nice easy latches to lock the parts in place, and easy to remove. I give it 5 stars and would definitely recommend it. I think the price is really reasonable when you actually see the quality of the components.

Update:The leak protection does work somehow. Litter unfortunately sticks to the stainless especially at the corners. Could potentially get a 5 star if the actual size is as spec.-----------I measured 22×14×6, not 23×15×7. Because it is only 6" height, there is no need for the stepping stool. Could have saved cost. For this price, should include stainless scooper and grip pad. I put 30lbs litter and it still moves because of stainless steel. I really did like the door and the lockable foldable top that makes cleaning easy. The top does snap and open easily with the push locks. They were the main reason I bought this one. However my cats are used to entering on the long side and this box is so much smaller, I hope they will use it!Also, the way the wall snaps to the stainless steel is unlikely to prevent leakage, coupled with only 6" tall. The negative outweigh the positive. I really really wished I would like the box to give a 5.

This 23" L x 15" W x 7" H, 304 stainless steel and ABS plastic litter box is easy to assemble, and you won’t need any tools to put it together. It arrived in a well-constructed cardboard box. Included were the following pieces: (1) top cover with lid opening, (1) medium shell side piece, (1) stainless steel pan, (1) litter filter pedal, (1) plastic litter scoop, (1) non-slip pad sheet, and (1) instruction manual. The assembly instructions are easy to read and follow. I will note that the non-slip pads could be a little taller. I think I will end up getting some furniture pads that make it easier to move and adding them to the bottoms to prevent everything from sliding around.The opening to the litter box is easy to access for different-sized cats. If they don’t like it, you can remove it and still have a functioning litter box. I had to remove mine at first until my oldest cat got used to it being there. Having the opening in place does help to control any odors created by your cat. The high side walls help to contain litter and urine. The pan is easy to clean. I like that it won’t scratch with repeated use and the urine smell won’t build up.The small foot stair slides easily with the small non-slip pads that come with the kit. That’s why I will be adding additional padding to keep it from moving around. My cats can access the litter box without the step in place but they like it so to keep them safe, I will get the furniture pads. The step is also great at catching any excess litter that may still be on their paws when they climb out of the box.Overall, my cats appear to be happy with their new litter box so that in turn, makes me happy. It definitely smells a lot nicer than their old plastic box. I wish the bottom pan was a little bit wider, but this will suffice. I would recommend this stainless steel litter box to any cat owner looking to make cleanup easier and a box that helps control odor.
