Bought this stainless steel Double Boiler to make lemon curd, versatile, can also be used for meting chocolate and soap bases. It’s small, but pretty deep. It’s sturdy and easy to clean. Fits perfectly on my pans. Overall, it does what it’s supposed to do. If you need to make things on a larger scale, you will want a bigger size, as it is a little on the smaller side.

As other reviewers mentioned it is a bit small, but I suppose if all you're using it for is melting chocolate, you likely don't need something much bigger. For my purpose, I needed to cook 6 egg yolks and 1 cup of sugar to add to Masscarpone cheese for a tiramisu. It all fit, was able to cook over simmering water and was also able to fit a hand mixer to blend it all together. Worked perfectly for my needs and would highly recommend!

I don’t like microwaves, but did miss being able to reheat small servings, melt butter or chocolate, etc. This is very handy for these small chores without having a hulking appliance on my counter. I have it hanging on my pantry, so it is easy to reach for. It fits over several of my pans and having hot water and steam warm the ‘bowl’ of the double boiler does many jobs effectively. Clean up is a breeze as it is stainless and can go in dishwasher or a quick swipe with a sponge. The silicon scraper is also very handy.

I probably should have checked but this arrived and I was surprised at the size. Otherwise it works well and I have been using it for candle making.
