It seemed like a good idea and for one cup of coffee its ok. If you want to ground enough for a pot of coffee, your arm will wear out before you were done and that would take around 30 minutes. However, I'm going to keep it because I camp a lot in the warmer weather and because it is stainless steel, it makes it good for that. Also, if the power is off, you can ground your beans for a cup or two. So, it is a decent back up but I wouldn't buy it again.

Works just fine.Doesn’t make near the mess the electric one did. Did take a bit longer than the electric to do a week’s worth of coffee. However you don’t have to rest the motor you just switch arms doing the grinding.Another review mentioned the nut on the top coming loose. It does! But I think that’s just the difference in the machining of the threads and is not a deal breaker for me.Lightweight materials so probably won’t last a lifetime but should last as long as my electric did - about 26 months- at a minimum cost.Hopefully next version will have a larger hopper.

Neat looking object, but it does not grind coffee beans at all. Maybe something smaller like a spice? Who knows. Returned.

One piece to put together and ready to use. Made for a relaxing process to grind the coffee beans in the morning. Didn’t take long. No obtuse cacophony emitting from the electric grinder.

This review is for the Stainless Steel Coffee Grinder Lid Attachment for Regular Mouth Mason Jars - Manual Crank Burr Grinder for Fresh Coffee, Ideal for Camping, Home Barista, Rust Proof Ceramic Mechanism.Super excited when this popped into my offers! I had just been thinking about looking for one and there it was! LOL. I'm a coffee gal in the morning! My mom knows don't try to talk to me before my coffee! LOL.I usually buy preground coffee for ease of making it and taste...., I have 2 fav brands. Awhile back mom got me some whole beans, Awesome! But I didn't have a grinder. So they've been sitting sealed in there pouch in the cupboard....that's just wasteful and a tragedy not to use them! LOL So now I can use them and if the power goes out I have backup! LOL.So wasn't super happy with the packaging...I'm all for save the planet reduce reuse and all.... but this was shipped in a flimsy white box tossed in a plain brown paper shipping envelope... no padding and needless to say did not faire the best as the box was smushed open and parts spread inside the bag!So I hope there's nothing wrong with it. I got it put back together and it seems ok, hope I'm not missing any parts LOL.OK got this tested and it fit on the mason jar fine. There were no issues with it. I'm happy with the grind. I don't think the "play" in it is an issue. There has to be a little bit of room for it to work, to be able to turn the dial and the gears to move. There needs to be a little bit of room as it's turning/grinding the coffee beans for what's been ground to fall out around the bottom. Don't try to put too much beans in ata time or grind it fast...smalls amounts, go slow, jiggle/shake it all down now and then as the floor in the grinder is flat....it needs to be sloped down toward the center so the beans progress and drop down to the grinder portion....This will be great to use. Can't wait to do some fresh ground beans in my new percolator stainless steel coffee pot when it arrives!Sadly this isn't available currently.As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.

Got this specifically for grinding Himalayan salt and it hasn't disappointed me at all. Set it to how course you want it, from powder to rough, and it'll get it done. Just attach it to a Ball type jar and it's done.
