Works ok. Super dirty inside tho. Took many cleanings with isopropyl and brushes with towel wraped around to get inside clean.

POS, stupid steel not stainless at least on the inside. Went to use it when I squeezed the ball the tube fell out and fell into my carboy of Flanders Red that had been aging for 18months. About 12 hours later I could see bubbles/fix coming up out of the tube because I couldn't remove it from the carboy. Had to transfer the beer to get it out and glad I did because it was oxidizing on the inside had a gray metal film. Luckily it did not impart any off flavors.

The inside of the tube is rusty. I don't want to put that in my beer. Very disappointed

Rubber bulb is loose around the body so suction is not great.

gets the job done however the connection between the bulb and the stainless steel is mediocre at best. Seems like it is going to fall apart with any amount of fluid in the baster

I am attaching 2 photos. This is truly a case of a photo tells the story. When I opened up the box, the first thing I noticed was the black squeeze bulb doesn't want to stay put. Then I noticed rust inside the stainless steel tube at the small end. The photo of my finger took very little effort to collect the mystery black. Nothing I felt comfortable trying to clean and stick into my brew.

Great find for me! Stainless steel is easy to clean and sanitize. Works like a charm!

It's certainly a big baster and of really nice quality, will last forever, etc. My main complaint is that the suction on the bulb isn't enough to fill the entire contents. What's the point of having such a large baster if even after squeezing the bulb completely flat you can't even come close to filling it? Perhaps I'm just a baster noob, who knows? My intent was to be able to extract the full volume of the baster or at least most of it, easily, in one 'pull' but I actually have to do it twice to get enough volume for my needs. No, it's not THAT big of a deal but probably enough of a hinderance that had I known this in advance I may not have purchased it.Sidenote: if you are a homebrewer looking to use this in place of a thief, you will likely have to do at least two pulls to get enough liquid for a gravity sample with a hydrometer.
