This is a great suction baster. I use it mostly for beer brewing but also works great to inject flavor and broth into the Thanksgiving bird. The syringe tip allows you to internally baste it so it's impossible to have a dry bird. When pulling beer out it holds it in the baster instead of dripping all over the place.Easy to clean as the bulb comes off and a small brush that's provided gets the tip clean too. Great price for something that has been in my home for six plus years now.Would definitely buy again and may just grab a second just for the holidays.

I was just looking for a basic baster to replace the one my ex must have decided belonged to her for some reason !! Did not even know I was missing it until I needed one. After needing one about a dozen times and seeing the cheap ones (cheap but not inexpensive) they sell at the grocery stores, I decided to get one from Amazon. It was a harder decision than I thought it would be. I really just wanted a baster like mom used to have.Anyway, this one seemed to be a decent one to try and it ends up it's a nice baster. I don't know if I will ever use the injector that came with it since I don't even know where I put it and the brush probably won't get used either, but just so happens I used the baster tonight and it worked great. I like the hard clear plastic it's made from. Even better than the one mom had. The cleaning brush is a nice extra too.Overall I am happy with the purchase and just a bit surprised I had this much to say about a dang baster.

What is ESO, you ask? Simple- "Equipment Smarter than Operator". Like so many other reviews on Amazon, folks buy a product assuming they'll magically know how to use it, but don't. Then, blame the product for the failure. (Yes, there is even a correct operating procedure for the lowly turkey baster). If properly assembled, operated and maintained, there is not a better baster out there at any price. It will not melt when used in a hot pan, it will not crack and lose suction over time. It will not leech toxins into your food when heated. It is, essentially, the PERFECT TURKEY BASTER. PERIOD.The only issues anyone could possibly have are due to incorrectly utilizing the product.Allow me to elucidate; the opening is NOT too narrow. Liquids are rarely restricted by the diameter of an opening. But if you're sucking up solids as well as the liquids, you'll eventually develope blockage. Tilt the roasting pan towards one corner and create a pool, fill the baster from there. Boom. The bulb won't stay on? Suction draws the liquid into the baster and at the same time, draws the bulb more securely to the baster- provided it has been properly installed. Make sure the flange of the bulb is properly seated in the grove on the baster. Blamo! The bulb pops off when emptying the baster onto the bird- see all instructions above. Bazinga! If you take the time (and have the capacity) to understand how things work, you'll hit a homer every time.If you don't (or can't) understand, please, for everyone's sake... step away from the keyboard and keep your reviews to yourselves.

I generally do not need/use a baster often, but have an issue where I figured one would help me. This baster is excellent, and works for the issue I have as well, which is transferring water from over-filled 1-gallon jugs into other containers, because the new jugs have no handle, and are filled to the brim. They require 2 hands to lift and pour, and consistently spill and waste some of the water. This baster has a good enough vacuum seal that the water does not drip out while transferring from one container to another. I also like that it is very clear; as clear as glass, so it is easy to see if it is fully cleaned if it was used for basting greasy/oily drippings. I had tried 2 other basters, but they would not hold water without dripping. This one does!
