I actually used two strands for each line. I am covering existing lines on front door glass. It is stiff, so doesn't curve as well. I also got liquid leading I'll use where this connects in places. I am happy with this product.

While moving a large stained door insert it got 3 cracks in the glass. It would be too expensive to repair it so I purchased this item with the idea of covering the cracks to make it look like it was leaded in that area.. It worked very well except overnight it fell off, so I put a little clear glue on the area and then placed the artificial lead on it. Perfect!Since there was so many pieces still left, I plan on using it for some sort of craft project in the future

I guess I didn't do my homework....this is made of silica, not lead. I thought these were thin strips of lead that you could fit between glass for stained glass projects, saving time on soldering from a larger roll. That's my fault. I'm curious to see how it can be used with stained glass projects, as there doesn't seem to be a lot of information included on the product page. For example, can you put copper tape over it and then apply solder, so that there are nice black lines that accentuate each piece of a stained glass project?

I’m happy with how these turned out. I couldn’t find them anywhere else and needed them for this specific project. I do feel like these are a knock off brand and not authentic. They didn’t hardly stick to the glass at all. I had to keep getting a new strip and used the glass paint almost like glue to hold the strips in place. Overall they worked just wish they were stickier. They were easy to cut and place though and they were the cheapest I could find.

The box of strips I received was full of 12 sheets of 12 strips that were each 11.5" long. By my mathing that is 138 feet of lines rather than 142 feet. I'm not going to quibble about it because most people are not going to calculate what they need down to the inch before ordering. Most designs will require cutting and piecing together strips, you will have oodles of lines to work with.The strips are nicely cut through so that you can peel them off of the wax paper backing with worrying about them tearing or cracking at the edge the way an adhesive magnet often does. These look very much like adhesive strips of magnetic tape, but they are thinner and much more flexible.I don't think that you can make small circles out of these, it is not that flexible, but you will easily be able to make designs with gentle curves.The strips are perfectly even. If you have ever tried to use the liquid leading and been frustrated with the inability to make perfectly straight lines of even thicknesses, this is the way to go!They are not super sticky, but they are sticky enough to stay in place on clean glass while you add your liquid "glass," and when that dries these strips will definitely not come away from the glass.This is a good product which will be enjoyable addition to your collection of artificial stained glass supplies. It's not real stained glass, but it's a cost effective way of creating something that can look relatively classy. I'm not ready to commit to a particular design so these are a tool to get me the look of stained glass while I spend a couple of years making up my mind. For this purpose they are well worth the purchase price!

These lead lines are a great way to make realistic-looking stained glass effects on regular glass or even acetate sheets. The adhesive on the lines is strong enough to stay put and the raised/curved look makes the finished projects look like legitimate stained glass. The individual lines are easy to curve as needed and they are fast and easy to cut to the proper length. Once you have your lines down, you can use any one of a number of different methods to get the finished stained glass look. From the Gallery Glass line of clear paints to tinting and painting on glue, or even SHARPIES on acetate, there is a method sure to work for your needs.
