This kit has pretty much everything you need to do stain glass. I found that all the tools work as they should. They are good quality. Great price. I would buy it again.

I have been wanting to try making stained glass for years. I was fascinated with it in high school after reading a book that featured lots of cathedral windows and I did get into the painted stained glass crafts and making the melted crystal type of suncatchers that you make in the oven... but I never made REAL stained glass projects.I was a bit impulsive and couldn't resist grabbing this to try without planning ahead for WHERE I would setup my glass making station. Right now my TINY office/craft space is set up for resin and sublimation and I need to pull everything out and rearrange to accommodate more crafts. I have shelves and new work surfaces ready to go in as soon as I pull everything out. As such, for the moment my review is on the appearance of the tools and supplies.My box was well packaged with lots of padding to keep the items from damaging each other. The grinder plugs in without issue and it turns on. The pliers and glass cutters all have a good weight and hand feel to them and they don't look or feel cheap.The soldering iron is pretty basic but it does have the advanced features of having an on/off switch on the cord as well as buttons to raise and lower the temperature. My soldering iron plugs in without issue and turns on as expected.The copper tape that I received is nicely spooled and looks clean. I currently have no complaints.I will update on functionality after I get my crafting space setup. I have ordered a variety of glass panes and scalloped edge tape and a few other supplies to go along with this and am very excited to give making proper stained glass projects a try.

If you want to start stained glass hobby I do NOT recommend. The cutting supplies are high quality and I use them often for stained glass however the solder and solder iron are more for electronics and I needed to replace. As well as a glass grinder becuase the hand file is not practical.

I took a class to learn to make stained glass and I found the craft to be very straightforward and satisfying. This tool kit features cutting tools and a soldering iron and supplies organized in 2 zippered pouches. The tools all look to be good quality. Please see my photos.As working with glass can have hazards this tool kit also contains protective gloves, but they are size XL so you might want to buy separate gloves which may fit better.This kit is thorough but you would need additional items to set up a stained glass crafting station. Protective eye glasses are essential. A drop cloth to catch stray pieces of glass would be important or just make sure to thoroughly vacuum after each session. A water grinding tool is necessary to finish the pieces after you score and break the glass and use the nippers in this kit to further shape the piece. A heat proof surface to solder is also important.This kit has two rolls of copper tape that you use to cover the edges of the finished pieces of stained glass. This kit does not have a plastic beveling tool which is used to cleanly smooth and adhere the copper tape to the stained glass.
