Product Description

If you can think it, you can make it in FIMO!
Imagine producing keychains, little boxes and baskets, hair clips, earrings, notebook covers, placemats, pendants, fantasy sculptures and, well, more! It's all within reach with FIMO special craft clay.
A blend of art, quality and fun, as only Staedtler can make it.
Enjoy hours of absorbing, artistic crafting play, without having to worry about hardening or breaking. FIMO stays soft and pliable no matter if you leave it out for days, or work it for hours. Then, finalize your art right in your home oven. (We recommend a dedicated countertop oven if you'll be doing a lot of crafting).
Notes and suggestions:

  • FIMO can be sanded and polished
  • Already hardened FIMO elements can be baked multiple times for projects that require multiple hardening passes
  • The hardened clay can be varnished with special FIMO paints or painted with suitable pens or acrylic and oil paints
  • FIMO should only be washed by hand, not in dishwashers. Dishwashing detergent is too harsh and can harm the material.
  • Holes for FIMO jewellery and beads can either be made with a needle before hardening or drilled with a hand drill after hardening.
  • Broken FIMO parts can be easily attached again using super glue

Set Contains:

454 g modelling clay

Very hard and crumbly when it's supposed to be soft

I love how easy this clay is to work with. And the quality/durability of the items it makes is perfect for my small business needs.

Super lightweight clay, it's a little hard to roll out flat but I put it in the microwave for 30 seconds and it got a lot more pliable. No cracks when it dried turned out amazing!

Fimo soft, especially the white is definitely one of my most favorite brands of pokymer clay to work with. Very comparable to Sculpey souffle and is just as durable (as long as you perfect your baking times with it).

I was kind of ordering this on a long shot, I’ve never really worked with clay before but I kept seeing cute little clay projects and wanted to give it a try so I went online and got this and I’m glad I did! It’s pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it, I didn’t have many issues sculpting anything I made or getting it to a smooth finish, and I’ve made about 10 different things that have all held up really well so far (it’s been a few months, I wanted to give everything a fair chance and test the durability since that was a concern of mine!) All that being said, I’d for sure recommend this clay especially if you’re a beginner like me! Plus it’s quite a bit of clay for the price you’re paying, I was pleasantly surprised to have so much to work with!

It’s a bit hard. I’d advise using some softener like polymer clay softener or baby oil or mineral oil. Knead it thoroughly. Warm it a bit on a heating pad (not too long). Using a bakers rolling pin to smooth it out. So on the softness scale it rates a 3. The quality is okay. It gets dry really fast so you have to work fast.

Très bon rapport qualité prix. Le format est bien plus pratique que les petits carrés que l’on peut acheter habituellement. Pensez à la stocker dans une boîte isotherme pour pas que la pâte sèche

Reading reviews I thought this would be easy to mold out of the package, but it was very hard. We got it to work after about 20 mins of rolling with a pin or kneading with our hands. Not soft at all.

So easy to use this clay. Many polymer clays work great but can be so stiff to use and hurt your hands and joints overtime if you make a lot of things out of clay. This clay is so pliable! You’ll be able to easily make your creations without a fuss. Thanks, FIMO!

So much harder to work with than clay or air drying - or maybe I just got an old, dry batch. Waste of money.

I usually use sculpta so fimo is a bit harder to deal with, it says soft but its still hard, not bad tho
