The kits are each unique, meaning lots of kids fighting over who gets which animal in a party or classroom. I got these to help motivate my kiddo into cleaning up around the house. Each kit has just enough supplies to make something resembling the package picture. The clay itself is the standard, lightweight air dry clay you might expect to buy from any major brand.

This turned out to be a box full of fun! An entire zoo worth of animal possibilities. Once you open the main box - there are 12 individually wrapped animal choices with clear images on the packages of what you can create. It turned out to be the perfect rainy day weekend project needed to keep a houseful of little girls happy. Each package has four individual colors to use to create your animal. It is that super squishy soft foam like clay - and we learned quickly that the little message on the outer box reminding you to make sure you kneeded the clay before use really was important. It made the clay easier to use and to form the animal parts. Still - it was in the individual interpretations that we had the most fun and even tho most of our animals didn't look exactly like the box - they were unique and they were ours!

I love how these are individually packaged - perfect for party favors or even just when you want a quick activity without opening everything. My 6 and 10 year old had fun making the panda and the cat, and it took them about 20 minutes to make one design. There were no instructions on how long to let it dry, but we gave them a full 24 hours based on past experience with air dry clay. Also, the clay had no smell! I’m sensitive to stuff that has chemical scent, and this had none.

The photos show the finished clay animals created by a 9-year-old and a 10-year-old. I also made a cat, and I had so much fun doing it.The clay kit provides plenty of material to create the animals pictured. While the instructions are only in photo form, they were easy enough for us to follow. The turtle was actually made from the frog kit, as one of my kids is a turtle lover. The clay is very light and fluffy, and it doesn’t get sticky. Once you let it "cure" for 24 hours, it’s ready and the final products are lightweight but adorable!I plan to make more of these kits and also work with a 3-year-old. I'm very impressed with this kit! At $30 for 12 kits, it's a great price. It was a lot of fun, and I'm excited to see what we can create with the leftover clay as well! I can’t wait to see the kids' creativity shine!

What a great crafting set! The clays are soft and easy to use. The directions are simple. The color pairings are brilliant. This came just in time for some unseasonably extra hot and rainy days and has been a great distraction for indoor play. It does not leave behind any discoloration or staining. Would recommend.

The packaging and idea are too cute for words but the actual process of creation went a bit sideways fast. First there is ample amounts of each color in the container for each animal, however it is that foam like squishy air dry clay so manipulating it is not that easy it doesn't smooth that well especially on detailed parts like the face. While yes there are tools enclosed they seemed to making it more challenging not useful like you'd expect a tool to be. In the end hold your laughter for the big reveal as clearly matching the final AI generated image was not happening as we made a whole new cross species of animal, the rat-possum-cat. Now maybe if you have more artist genes than we do you can pull this off better but in the end we have embraced our new squishy air dry clay friend with open hands. I would like to point out that while we were creating that air dry clay was AIR DRYING so it became clear that we were working against the clock. In the end a cute set but proceed with an adventurous open mind or more uniform artistic talent than this family.

This air dry clay set is an absolute riot in the best way. I got it for an afternoon activity with my niece and nephew, and let me tell you—we were squishing and sculpting like we were up for an award. Each box has four bright, pillowy colors and a little animal tutorial on the back, which sounds innocent enough until you realize the “red fox” might be more accurately described as “slightly startled Cheeto with ears.” And I say that with love.The clay is soft, easy to work with, and smells like nothing, which is a huge win if you’ve ever had to scrub mystery-scented glitter goo out of a toddler’s hair. It dries overnight, doesn’t crack or flake, and feels legit high quality for a kids’ craft kit. The included tools? Surprisingly sturdy. They survived some truly aggressive poking and mashing by a very determined five-year-old.Yes, the animal labels are… creative. We lovingly referred to the American Bison as “that angry cow,” and the grey wolf looked like it might ask me for tuna. But we had so much fun. It’s exactly the kind of chaos I want in a kid art kit: colorful, harmless, and full of personality.Bonus: the little tubs are reusable, so cleanup was easy and storage didn’t turn into a disaster drawer situation.I would recommend for birthdays, rainy days, or crafting with kids who have big imaginations and zero chill. The bald eagle was our collective masterpiece and now lives on a shelf like some kind of clay cryptid. As it should.
