I was a little surprised how quickly the color faded and the ball began to crack. I've had this ball for only a few months. I wouldn't recommend keeping this ball in the sun. As far as functionality it is still in working condition.

Perfect for playing with and not "hard" like some can be. Fun to play with and discovered my dog LOVES it!!! It's good the whole family ❤️

Hung this up for my dog, a very high energy DINGO cattle dog. With only a few pounds of air, which is important for durabilty and life of the ball.. every day since it was hung. My Dingo will play with it for HOURS ON END and many times i have had to go out after dark and bring her in...it has lasted months now and showing almost no wear, dispite hanging all winter here in NY... the dog chases it, bounces it off her nose, runs and jumps at it and sometimes hangs from it with her front feet...This dog is rough on her toys usually destroying them in weeks , but this tether ball was well worth its price....

The kids love learning tether ball! The rope was too long for our needs so we cut and retied it. The pole we use has a wire “lead” that is about 3’ the ball seems to be good quality. The rope is durable.

This is a great tether ball. It is soft as described. I like the clip on it to make it easy to attach and remove from the pole.

So happy to have this teatherball. It is soft enough for the kids. Easy to hook on the pole. Price was right. We love it. Last time I played was more than 40 years ago. Still a great workout too.

I have to say that I love this ball. It is softer then any other tetherball we have bought. This is our 3rd ball. Other balls have hurt and even left bruises on our fists and arms. Not this one!! Yes, it will fade and the rope will get dry rot if left outside. However, this is true with any ball that I leave outside in Miami weather. The ball comes with a nice long rope and a convenient carabiner to attach it to your tetherball pole. The ball arrived on time and was inflated correctly. I love this ball and will buy it again. Please let me know if this review was helpful.

Ball is good, my 9, 12 year old girls loves it. I don't know how a ball flying at you ready to be hit can be called soft, so no comment on that. I took a star off because our California sun won, the ball is now a faded nasty yellow color on top with remnant of pink on bottom. We had it for a month before we saw the fading. Still playable though. Probably best to take off the pole after playing, "but who got time for that." Ball could probably last longer in a shady area.

I initially bought one that was glow in the dark because I thought it would be fun for the kids, but that ball was so hard we all had horrible bruises on our arms from it. I wanted to find something softer, so I bought this and it is wonderful. It will still sting you from time to time depending on how you hit it, but compared to the other one, this ball is SUPER soft and makes for a much more fun game of tetherball. When this one wears out I will definitely buy another one just like it. Great buy.

Its pink its a tether ball, wife has been wanting a tether ball for some time so I looked online for a pole and ball. Didnt exspect to find out the whole setup ran from $120 to $400. So I bought her this ball and emailed her a link to a youtube video of a guy making one with a used car tire, a pole, three bags of concrete , and some rebar, then sent her to Lowe's. Ball looks great and the pole and the whole set up including this ball only cost us 45 bucks. I think five generations from now will still be using the pole the little lady made. Great job honey.

Stay away from this tetherball.I've played with Tachikara volleyballs and found them to be very nice. From the description and the other reviews, I thought this would be a nice soft tetherball. Wrong! Every time we play, we have sore hands, arms and wrists. It's easily as hard as a soccer ball, and heavier. If it wasn't marked, as such, I's swear we had been shipped the wrong product. We bought this as a replacement for one that we wore out over the course of a year. So it's not like we're wimps, this thing just hurts. I'd hate to play with one that wasn't extra soft, it would probably cause permanent damage. Also, we've had it for less than a month & it's beginning to show signs of being worn out.Definitely not worth the money, I gave it a star because I had to in order to submit the review - well, it was actually the color they said it would be, I guess that counts for something.
