Please Note:
1. In order to get the read and write speed 1050MB/s&1000 MB/s, please ensure the USB interface of the computer and the USB data cable are both USB 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps standard;
2. About 1/4 of the current available capacity is allocated for high-speed caching. The Writing Speed remains stable when the file size of each transfer is less than 1/4 of the remaining usuable capacity. For example, when the USB SSD drive has 600GB available capacity left, you can transfer data less than 150GB at a time, the speed will not drop.

I needed extra storage space. My first purchase was a Transcend 2tb. After transferring a few pictures and videos it locked up my laptop. I'm not a computer person, didn't grow up in the age of computers. After disconnecting the Transcend and hours of figuring out how to get my computer to restart, my first instinct was to format the Transcend. That didn't go well, my laptop wouldn't even recognize the Transcend. I returned it to Amazon and after searching other options I found the SSK. Reviews were really good. It was only about $15 more than the Transcend. Regarding its size compared to the Transcend,, I was surprised. About the size of a matchbox! And still 2 tb of storage space. It also came with 2 different types of connectors. Other storage drives did t even come with data transfer cables. A person would have to purchase a cable separately for their personnel use. I've transferred about 5gb onto it now with no issues. No overheating whatsoever. I don't know speed stuff on computers, but I would say it's fast. I've had others that I leave the from the office, come back an hour later and they would still be transferring data. Not a problem with this SSK 2TB. I would definitely recommend it.

If you are looking for something small and extremely convenient, then this is the hard drive that you need. If you are looking for something to keep at home that you won’t possibly lose then I would look somewhere else. As for my personal purpose, I got this for my girlfriend who is a content creator. She is currently using a camera when we are on the go. We bought this and an adapter that uploads a mini SD through USB-C so she can transfer content straight from her camera to her phone. She keeps both raw footage and edited footage in separate folders that she has created on her phone to this hard drive. This was a great solution for freeing up space on her phone and her camera.

Facts: SanDisk is selling the SAME type of drive for only $10 more with a 3 year warranty, available contact info/support, upgraded firmware, and brand name backing. IF you decide buy this item I would STRONGLY recommend paying the extra $13-$15 for the recovery plan. I am very sad.Purchased in September 2024, died in January 2025. Never dropped it, never got it wet, clean ports, took very good care of it. NOTICE that the warranty information points you to the manufacturer/seller webpage where THERE IS NO further information to be found there. Hence, NO WARRANTY - only the standard Amazon 30 day return period. Can't find any SSK contact information. SSK is not registered with the BBB (at least not under that name). I would not ever buy anything SSK again - certainly not a storage device.This drive was easy to use, seemed to work well, good price & good reviews, etc. It seemed a little slower than expected (but I know that's pretty subjective). I was compiling files from multiple legacy source drives so I could have them all in one place on a "more stable" SSD. I had done a lot of work locating and copying and then one day Windows just stopped recognizing it. (This is, as you may know, worse than getting a DOA or short-lived drive because you begin to count on it and then lose all of your work.) Tried different ports, different machines, different cables, cleaned out the ports, disk management can't see it, none of the things worked. Lost my data and my money - data being the most frustrating for me.SanDisk is selling the SAME type of drive for only $10 more with a 3 year warranty, available contact info/support, upgraded firmware, and brand name backing. Fast, reliable, compact, convenient. I recently lost two “mechanical” drives that malfunctioned, losing all of the stored data. I tried repairing the drives, but to no avail. True, I could have sent to a company to recover the data, but that would have cost $1000 to $2000! This solid state drive has twice the storage capacity of the older drives at less than half the cost! Excellent value!

Amazing drive. I bought this to transfer all my digital home movies and pictures to give to my aunt. Transferred 500GB very quickly and easily. The drive is incredibility small and holds 1TB of data! On top of all this the price point was more than reasonable.
