SSK M.2 SATA SSD Enclosure connector only has one gear to compatible both (B Key&B+M Key) SSD, if your SATA SSD has two slots, one slot will be left in blank. It will not effect the function. It does NOT support NVME PCI-E based M key and M+B key SSD.
Attention: If your SSD size is 22*80mm, please press down the plastic lock catch A and B, so it will not push up the SSD, and will never make it bend.Please read our User Manual carefully.

The slot of Our M.2 SATA SSD case has a single notch B Key. It is not only supports B Key SATA SSD and also supports two notches B+M key SATA SSD. You can use it directly when you has two notches SATA SSD.

We tested our enclosure with SATA SSD, the actual speed can reach to 400MB/s~450MB/s on R/W.
SSD needs to be fully inserted for working
If you encounter a situation where your SSD cannot be read or fatal hardware error, please confirm your SSD is M.2 NGFF SATA SSD. Secondly, please confirm whether your SSD is fully inserted into the M.2 NGFF Slot. If not, you need to push the SSD into the M.2 NGFF Slot at a 45 degree angle.The pins of the SSD will be fully seated and covered.

Installation Instructions
Note:
1. It requires 1 screws to assemble the enclosure.When insert the SSD to house casing, as it is shrapnel design, If your ssd size is 22*80mm, please press down the plastic lock catch A and B, so it will not push up the SSD,and will never make it bend.On the other hand, please gently press the plastic lock catch C back to make it Chucking your SSD.
2.Dose not support the NVMe SSD, it only supports SATA-based M.2/NGFF(B Key&B+M Key) SSD 2242 2260 2280mm solid state drivers. If need NVME PCIE based SSD Enclosure, pls purchase another model HE-C325 from our Store. SSK M.2 SATA SSD Enclosure connector only has one gear which can suitable for both (B Key&B+M Key) SSD. If your SATA SSD has two slots, one slot will be left in blank. It will not effect the function.
3. It is also not compatible with MacBook original SSD.
4. After installed, when the first time to use the new SSD, it may not be found, please partition and format it first under disk management, then it can be used normally. If want to work on both Mac and Windows OS, please format it to EXFAT.

Ich habe in das Gehäudee ine Platte eingesetzt die pbrig war und nutze diese Kombination als Ersatz für die grottenlangsamen USB Sticks. The slot to plug in the SSD was warped and misshaped. I spent 10 minutes trying to finess my SSD into the slot and tried using some tools to reshape and remove some of the plastic on the slot where it plugs in. I then got mad and just threw it away. OBVIOUSLY some people may get one that is correctly made, but is that a risk you want to take when there are so many other options?And for the record, I know what I am doing and this was the plastic around the plug itself, NOT the clips or anything else.

The aluminum housing dissipates heat well. After lots of use, the case just felt warm to the touch. It never got hot. The included heavy-duty 8-inch data/power cable and the USB-C adapter also worked well. I bought this M.2 SATA SSD enclosure adapter to upgrade my HP Elitebook 840 G3 laptop's storage from 256GB to 512GB. This conversion/upgrade was easy, went very smoothy and was completely successful. Since the laptop uses an M.2 SATA SSD, this enclosure adapter was the best inexpensive solution and ideal for the purpose. First, I placed a new 512GB drive into the adapter, and cloned my laptop's 256GB drive (with Macrium Reflect). Second, I replaced the laptop's internal 256GB drive with the newly cloned 512GB drive. Third, as a bonus, I put my laptop's old 256GB drive into this enclosure and saved 15 years of Google Photos on it. Since the process was so easy, and everything went so smoothly, I'm extremely satisfied with this product.

ran a benchmark with using this enclosure and it works well. the build quality is very solid. so i am very happy i bought this ssk m.2 sata ssd usb 3.0 enclosure.tested setup:- adata 128gb M.2 2280 sata ssd using- windows 11, usb 3.0 (5 gbs) port, and crystal benchmark apptest results:- crystal seq q32t1: 405MBs read and 393MBs write on a AData 128gb M.2 2280 sata ssd- these rd/wr speeds are where they need to be for a sata ssd- the enclosure works like it shouldnotes:- the theoretical max speed of a usb 3.0 (5 gbs) port: 625MBs 5000 giga bits per second / 8 bits per byte = 625 MBs (Mega Bytes / second)- gbs = giga bits per second- MBs = mega bytes per secong

What a great product! Seriously.This inexpensive little thing has a legit aluminum outer case. The plastic tray seems a little flimsy, but it does need to be flexible. If you watch the unboxing/demo video attached to the product info, I had exactly the same experience, only with more hair on my knuckles.The instruction manual isn't perfect, but the device is very straightforward and more or less intuitive. It arrived within 24 hours of my order and I was able to get on with my project with almost no complications or difficulty. I wasn't really sure how to bend the retaining clip "C" for the full-length M.2 drive, but I figured it out. And the rest after that was super easy and obvious.I think I'll also get SSK's NVME /PCI-E version next, even though I don't currently have a need for it. It'd be great to have it around for whenever the need might arise. Then again, considering how fast this one arrived, I feel confident I wouldn't have to wait very long if the need does come up.Then again again, for the price.... Yep, I'm ordering the NVME one too.

I like the form factor and use of USB-C for this enclosure. The metal casing is nice too. I only have a few issues overall with this setup.Firstly, it gets toasty. Probably because the thing is resting right up against the metal enclosure with no thermal pad. Personally I would invest in one and apply it just so there is some heat transfer. Though it will cause the enclosure to be warm, so beware of that.Secondly, definitely not a fan of how the drive is held in place/how it sits in the enclosure. It’s held in place via pressure applied to the back of the ssd, which causes it to bend upwards. Not something I like to see and hopefully with the installation of the thermal pad, something that will be reduced by some degree.Speeds are fast on USB3 ports. No complaints there. And the casing provides good protection from the outside. Is also easy to assemble/disassemble with just one screw holding the enclosure in place.Overall it’s a good design with a few minor flaws.
