I was excited when this one arrived, I tied this behind a 4 inch sliver/gold flasher with a 5 inch dead shiner minnow on steel line & fluoropolymer leader. I found it difficult how to best rig the minnow but eventually manage to get a rig I felt satisfied with, the action seemed good and it had a death roll action to it. Unfortunately, after several hours of trolling without success, I switched it out. I haven't given up on it by any means, will try with soft plastics or live worms. Im using this in fresh water primarily for lake trout but will even try for walleye in deeper summer waters with fluoropolymer line and a worm rigged to it.

I was surprised and slightly disappointed with myself for not trying this spoon earlier. My husband has been catching with the SS 20 and 40 series. One day I finally gave it a chance I was not disappointed . I was fishing heavy currents from Manituck Long Island in 90 ft of water . My husband and I by far took in the largest sea bed filling our buckets to capacity will be using these for the rest of my life ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Caught a lot of sea bass with this spoon. Even won 150 bucks for biggest fish in biggest fish raffle. I brought 2 more. Gonna see if I can hook up on few different fish... I'm a definite yes for this one

I picked this up for kayak fluking. It's been very effective and I've had a lot of action on it. Initially I started with the larger SS40 model, but found the hooks too large. This one seems spot on for fluke. I use a T swivel and 2 1.5oz drail weights. I like being able to feel the contours and composition of the bottom with the weights as I drift. I've caught plenty of fluke, a ton of sea robins, and even snagged a puffer fish with this jig. While fast vertical jigging may be more effective (I'm honestly not sure), I prefer the more laid back approach the viper spoon allows for.

I was expecting a smaller size.. Maybe I did not select this factor correctly, or the information was no clear.

They look nice and catch fish. Good quality hooks and stainless steel wire. I do think they are overpriced. They should cost around $7-8.

Very well made spoon. SS wire is kinda thick. Looks bombproof for Muskie and Pike.
