I bought these for a trip to lake St Clair to try and catch some walleye. I have tried them for straight retrieval but man are these spoons heavy, I can definitely see a use for vertical jig but straight retrial you really gotta reel fast, and if there's any weeds your boned.i really like the colors and quality but imo way to heavy especially for quick retrial in shallower waters

The most important thing about a blade bait is the action. These have great action in a short stroke without the delay. Great for vertical jigging. Also the color finishes are incredible and don't hinder the action like the thick paints. I caught a true monster of a northern Pikeminnow (squawfish) on the red and white bait. It was longer than the state record but didn't weigh enough to break it. I would recommend these lures.
