I like it but we stopped using the 3 hole plug thing because it was clogging the milk. The ring is able to hold the filter in just fine.

This stainless funnel with stainless ring to push disposable filters in place has definitely taken over the way I filter my milk! No more washing reusable filters or straining tools. Best stainless quality I’ve ever seen in a funnel! It’s heavy duty!

Makes milk straining go so fast! I held off for a year before purchasing this because of the price, but I regret not buying sooner!

Great pail, BUT my only major gripe is that I wish the funnel and lid fit together better. When I'm walking into or out of the milking parlor (both empty and full) the lid is very wobbly and tends to fall off mid-carry very easily. If I have a clean sanitized bucket and filter set up and the lid falls off its aggravating bc then I worry about things getting in my milk. We do dairy herd share and sell our milk to people. So cleanliness is of utmost importance. While it's annoying, I have yet to find another pail that works better at an affordable price like this one

My wife uses this once or twice daily after milking our goats and it works perfect.NOTE: The weld holding the “stainless steel” ring together is very noticeable, which could lead to a problem of rust. Time will tell.

It took me 3 times of using it to figure out that if you use a "sandwich" method it works really well.First of all it is LARGE. Secondly if you use two of the filters and sandwich the cloth filter in the middle, it works really well. In a dairy setting hair will almost always be an issue, and I found this works for me.

I was out of town when this arrived. My MIL was taking care of our dairy goats for us and was the first to use the milk strainer. She called us and said, “I don’t know how much you paid for this thing, but it was worth it.” Mine doesn’t have sharp edges and is easy to use and easy to clean. I have two goats that I’m milking twice a day. I’ve never had to use more than one filter for filtering 1/2 to 1 gallon of milk. It filters very quickly… almost instantly. I recommend this strainer.

Jesus bless you! - this thing is great! -I make prep meals on the weekend, putting meat and vegetables in jars and putting them in the fridgeit is an excellent system, but needed a big funnel to do the job faster and with less effortI can take canned chicken and get it in the ball canning jar without spilling a drop -and do it quickly and conveniently -also as you can see from the other picture the funnel can hang over the pot and prevent drips during transfer, i am thrilled every time i use it because it keepsa the counter clean -chopping fresh onions and putting them in ball jars is fast and easy i can just lift the board and push them into the funnelonions stay fresh and crisp in the refrigerator for 2 weeks inside glass jars but spoil in just a few days in plastic for reasons i haven't figured out ... but having fresh onions is so nice not that i discovered they stay good i glassit is very tough to find a funnel this large -the medium size funnel fits the ball jar, I ordered "strainer only" which is an odd name because it is really "funnel only" but I did not need milk filters so I just got "strainer only" and saved some moneyreally had to search for the size informationso here it is for all of themMini Strainer 2” for regular mouth jars (top diameter 5.5", bottom diameter 2.125"/ vol:1 pint)Medium Strainer for large mouth jars (top diameter 11.5", bottom diameter 3"/ vol: .75 gallon)Large Strainer (13” top diameter, bottom diameter 5”/ vol: 2.1 gallon)Extra Large Premium Strainer (13.75" top diameter, bottom diameter 6.5" / vol: 3 gallon)

I purchased this strainer to filter our cows milk. It does come with a ring to pop in the funnel, but it is so big that it may filter with cloth that is 1/4" thick, but nothing less, and milk woud never go through 1/4" cloth. It actually looks like the ring was ground down post manufacturing to make it smaller... it might have worked as a filter/strainer if they hadn't ground it down... but the ring is so sloppy in there that we cannot use it for straining anything. Sadly, an expensive unless purchase for us.
