Well, the description says it is for Wood, but if you look closely at the picture, and once you get it home, you will notice that the tip is not best for Wood. It is more of a masonry bit.

I purchased this arbor and masonry bit to augment my spider hole saw. This item worked flawlessly to get the job of drilling through more than 8" of wall. I highly recommend it to anyone.
