Beautiful and heavy ceramic dish. I'm sure it would have been perfect for my old Labrador and dalmatian, rest their souls. Now that I have it, I think it's much nicer than the old discolored plastic dog dish.I actually bought this for my 2 cats, who love to play in their water dish, occasionally flipping the whole damned thing. They play in this to their hearts delight. Filling it halfway , they make much less splash and it doesn't budge. Also, the one cat who used to drink mostly from the toilet is happy to drink from this.

We weren't certain that purchasing ceramics online would be wise, but these ceramic bowls are amazing! The colors (light grey and deep royal blue) are absolutely beautiful. So glad we purchased these!

I don't like the flimsy and tinny metal or plastic options for pet bowels found at stores, and I refuse to pay the ridiculous prices for ceramic bowls in big-box pet stores, either. This bowl is made well, comes in a few different sizes, and is less than what I would be paying in a store. It has held up well and is easy to keep clean. It is weighty and solid and doesn't slide around like lighter and lesser-quality bowls.

I gave it four stars for two reasons otherwise it is a nice dog bowl. I ordered two but the first package came and was in this big box with no extra stuffing so they were just banging around in the smaller boxes. I feel this is amazon and not the seller. They immediately sent another (i have to return the broken parts) and that one was package exactly the same but somehow didn't break.Reason 2. We put them both in the dog bowl stand and one just fits and the other is perfect. We measured and one is 10 inches and the other a little over 9.Otherwise for large Roman Rottweiler head it's a perfect size bowl and depth. They look really nice. Hoping it lasts long.

I , Magic, 1 year old void goddess, queen of all I see, approve of this wonderful dish. I have had my human servant place it in the bathroom were I take my afternoon naps. The size is perfect . Deep enough to hold ample cold water that is replenished daily by my servant. Wide enough to prevent whisker fatigue when I partake of a long drink.I would give it 5 paws , however I am constrained to the human rating system however silly it is. So 5 stars

I only just received them today but I washed them and used them to feed my dog when I got home from work. So far I love them and so does my bullmastiff. The 9.5 inch are huge. I feed her 2lbs of raw food at a time and there was still ample room. I put them on a mat and they were still where I put them when my dog finished eating. They were easy for her to eat out of and easy to clean afterwards. I haven't tried the dishwasher yet. Will update if anything goes horribly wrong but for now I'm very happy with my purchase

So we had the typical metal bowls, but one of our dogs really likes bowls. He kept stealing them to run around with. Not only is it super loud to have a metal bowl clanking, but he’s dump the water everywhere! We got this one to try, and haven’t had a single stolen water bowl instance since! It was sliding a bit on the hard floor, so we got some of that cupboard grippy stuff, cut slightly larger and placed the bowl on top. Works great, looks great, super easy to clean and super sturdy. Nice weight to it as well.

I purchased this bowl for my three cats. (It's best suited for cats and small dogs- medium dogs and up should get a bigger bowl.) I chose this bowl over others on the market for a few reasons; mainly because of the interior blue color and small size. The interior blue color allows me to disguise my cat's water additive (read on for more about that!) The small size allows me to change the water frequently without feeling "wasteful". The walls of the bowl are short enough to prevent whisker fatigue- yes it's a very important thing to consider for cats! The bowl is very sturdy; heavy enough to keep them from pushing it around but not heavy enough to be cumbersome. (Note: if setting this bowl on a hard floor like tile, I'd recommend using a mat to avoid damaging the bottom of the bowl... or the floor.)So back to the water additive for the cat people that might read this: all of my cats are rescues with dental problems. My vet recommended water additives as part of their dental care regimen. The additive that seems to taste best and draw my cats to it tints the water a very very noticeable green... so although they were interested, they refused to drink green water from a white bowl (even with very slow transition from one drop per day on up to full "dose"). I don't blame them. Looks suspicious. Sooo I decided to change the background color and see if that helped. So far, so good! Obviously the blue doesn't disguise the additive fully, but it does provide enough of a colored backdrop to where they don't suspect anything. 10/10! That's all for now, thanks for reading my novel about a water bowl.

We have two large Goldens who will slide ordinary stainless steel bowls all over the kitchen during meal times trying to get every last bit of food from out of the corners. So I was looking for a sturdy, heavy-weighted bowl that was large enough to hold a reasonable amount of raw food for a large dog. The standard large SS bowls typically hold 2-1/2 qts by volume (that would be filled to the rim, which nobody actually does for obvious reasons). The info I was looking for was weight and inside dimensions for comparisons as well as volume. This info is not clear for this bowl so I'd like to give a straight forward answer to anybody who needs this info... the largest size measures 9" inside diameter (the advertised outside diameter is 9.5" but really no one cares about outside dimensions, am I right? After all you're surely not going to purchase this stoneware bowl to fit inside of a raised feeder, there's no lip on the thing), and the inside height measurement is 2". How does this compare to a typical large SS bowl? Most usually measure 8" inside diameter and 2-1/2" inside height. Now for what's really important it holds a standard volume of 2-1/2 qts filled to the rim. Exactly equivalent to a large SS bowl. The optical illusion is that it doesn't hold as much is because it is wider and lower than the SS bowl plus the bottom is slightly raised and concave. Fear not however as I've used a measuring cup to exactly determine the volume so if a SS bowl has enough volume for you, so will this large bowl. As for the weight... as you would expect it is heavy... like 3-lbs 5 ounces as compare to a cheap large SS bowl which usually weighs around 5 ounces with a better thicker heavy gauge steel one maybe reaching twice that weight. Our dogs no longer move the bowls at meal times regardless of how tasty the stuff in the corners are. And speaking of corners these bowls have very high steep angles with a small radius, oh I would have preferred a swallow radius however you can't always get everything you want. Still the dogs do not have a problem getting their tongues into those corners and in fact it is made much easier for them since the bowl does not slide away. Durable and easy to clean. Now for the down sides... very HEAVY, will shatter if dropped (one bowl arrived broken in the box and so had to be replaced) and remember its stoneware so the edge on the bottom will likely scratch countertops and flooring if slid around without a mat of some sort below. Bottom line is, for us, these were what we were looking for... big, wide and heavy.
