Product is easy to handle and sticks really well as long as surface is clean. We’ll see how will it hold once it becomes hot inside the engine bay from the turbo.

I used this to mitigate heat soak on the charge air system on my 911 Turbo. Data logs confirm that when compared to a factory system, prolonged stable air intake temperatures were able to be sustained for longer periods of elapsed time. This is a very cost effective modification one can do to to any car and have it run more efficiently. I used two rolls to cover my intake manifold and had some leftover when done. If proper prep work is performed and the tape is applied correctly, it will not peel off.

First try and it doesn’t stick AT ALL to any of my intake piping, complete waste of money.DO NOT BUY! And when I tried to use a heat gun at about 9” away fanning the tape it started to melt instantly, doubt it would’ve done much even if it stuck to the piping.

My 2016 wrx has been having Heat Soaking issues this summer. I wrapped the intake pipe and charge pipe with this tape. Found a simple tutorial on YouTube. Took me about 4 hours to wrap both including time to remove and reinstall the parts. Awesome product. And I have about 1/3 of the roll still left over. Car is running cooler on the highway and while idling for long time.

It’s not super hard to use this, just make sure you overlap at the ends and in layers for best protection and adhesion. I have an 18 charger Daytona (5.7 liter) with JLT intake. I noticed that even though my intake tube is plastic, it still suffers from heat soak and subsequent high IAT (intake air temps). Also worth mentioning, I am in Tampa, Florida. It’s hot here and traffic sucks. My IATs would run upwards of ~70 degrees OVER ambient air temp. And at speed wouldn’t cool down fast enough to get too much lower than ~30 degrees over ambient air temp. Obviously, being in Tampa, stop and go/slow moving traffic has an unavoidable negative effect on this. After wrapping (which took me ~45 mins with intake removed) I noticed 2 major improvements - 1. heat soak takes much longer (again it’s inevitable). 2. My IATs cool MUCH faster at speed (40mph+) with this wrap than without. For example I only got up to ~30 degrees over ambient air temp today and then at speed cooled immediately down to 5 degrees over ambient air temp. Overall, I am satisfied and would recommend. And No, I do NOT get paid or compensated in any way for reviews. I’d tell you if I was. I’m simply happy with the outcome of this product.

For those that have commented this is just reflective duct tape, that is not accurate. This barrier tape is definitely made with fiberglass. You can't just tear it. It needs to be cut.And for those that say it doesn't stand up to heat and then go on to show it wrapped around exhaust pipes and headers ... well no duh. Was never intended for that purpose and you're risking an engine fire!I've used it to wrap intake pipes that run above my turbo to try to keep inlet temperatures down. I'm not sure how much it really helps but i can say that after car gets up to temp that I can still touch the intake tube now and i believe that is due to the reflective properties of this tape. Before, the black inlet tube was too hot to touch.I'd imagine this would be great for adding a reflective barrier to the outside of air filter boxes on cold air intakes.I can confirm that it isn't the stickiest when near high temp heat sources and you might need stainless zip ties to hold it in place. But if it is several inches from the heat source it is fine.
