I have never used punch needles but I am very experienced with many other crafts. I was able to easily understand and follow the instructions without the use of the videos. The instruction sheet suggests to watch the video tutorials for different steps of the process. At the time that I was starting this I didn't have internet access so I did not rely on those and instead just read carefully. The instructions were clear enough and the process easy enough to do without the aid of the videos. I will say it does seem like it take some practice to get uniform stitches. Probably the most important thing I realized is to watch the tension. The instructions state that any amount of resistance on the yarn can easily pull the stitches out as you are doing them. I found this to be the case and I hadn't even realized there was a "drag" on the yarn. This craft does seem quite forgiving though and I was able to go over the area that had gotten pulled and even though you can see what I did on the back of the work the front looks fine. Nobody will see the back anyway :).

After seeing a myriad of crafting videos on social media, I wanted to try punch needling out and this kit had everything I needed to learn how. It came with everything I needed to make all 6 designs and the video instructions (by scanning a QR code) were helpful for a visual learner like myself. The designs themselves were cute and were just the right size for a small coaster.Minus one-star just because the designs are all on one piece of fabric. Although I could cut the designs out by myself, it would have been more convenient if that was already done.

Functionality is great! It’s definitely fun for kids and retirees alike! Ease of use is no issue, thread quality is really good and the design itself of the flowers I like because it’s not a difficult project to complete plus you gain some sewing skills as well. Highly recommend. 👍🏽

Cute kit. I really like the idea. But the colors I received are the cheesy versions of what’s pictured. Im disappointed. I would’ve given it 5 stars if I had received the right colors. They even look better in my pics than in person.

This coaster kit has been a fun introduction to punch needle crafting. After trying out one of the included designs, I decided to trace my own design onto the fabric and punch that. Unfortunately I forgot that the side you punch from is actually the backside. After reversing my design, the end result was much better. I found that the punch needle made loops that were much bigger than I wanted, so I poked the needle through varying thicknesses of foam until the result was a loop the size I desired. I did watch the videos that the kit links to and found them to be very a helpful addition to the printed instructions.

My 7 year old and I enjoyed making these. Great design, prints, good yarn quality. So much fun to make.

I love the vibrant colors and cute designs! The tools are high quality, especially the punch needle and threader. I love how neatly the yarn is bundled. My first time making mug rugs, and I was really happy with the result. My only recommendation would be to make the directions a few font sizes bigger. Would definitely recommend this kit!
