It fits well with my X-T2 and battery grip. For slimmer cameras, this works well. For camera that are thicker, you may want to research if the DSLR version will work better.

They make good stuff. Installed in my 70-200 lens. Easy to hang the camera and lens on my spider belt.

The system as a whole is amazing. This piece specifically mounts a mirrorless camera and works perfectly. The connection is secure; the plate won't come off the camera during use due to the design. Very well made system. Pricey, but when you're mounting a $3,000 camera to your body, totally worth every penny.

Have been using for a year and they've not failed me yet. I never liked wearing the full belt set up so I use this with the clip that attaches to a standard belt.

Defiantly is a "editor's choice". However, it has the capability to use the holster on the other side of a belt and they write down implicit that you must buy another screw from the manufacturer, being unadvised to used the screw that come together .Anyway, is a great product for what it delivers. I recommendBTW, I've los my previous screw and I live outside US. So, I had to maanufactur one for US$ 30. I recommend those who may lose it, buy one step

I bought this plate along with the holster after watching a ton of positive reviews. The entire system is very easy to use and works great. My one minor complaint is that I wish the mounting screw that attaches the plate to the lens bracket was a bit longer. I am uncomfortable that only 3-4 mm of the tread actually grabs a very heavy lens and camera. Using it with my Nikon D850 + either 70 to 200 f2.8 or 200 to 500 f5.6. The later is quite heavy but still manageable. Will probably try to find a longer screw as there is plenty of thread in the lens bracket.

I use two totally different cameras (Fuji GFX 100s & Canon R5) and wanted a solution that worked with my cameras interchangeably. With l-brackets on both cameras and the R5 with a battery pack, this arca-Swiss clamp is just want I needed. Solidly made. Holds tightly. Dual posts are nice for dual camera (L/R) usage. Also, as you see in the image, I use a CamRanger 2 for wireless transfers to my iPad Pro from the GFX. The dual post is a must even for one camera when the CamRanger 2 is mounted in the l-bracket. Love this rig for portrait sessions!!Note: This is bulkier than the traditional clamp. This will make storage in your bag a bit more challenging but still workable.Excellent product…premium quality at a premium price. Would purchase again even at the price.

I bought the Spider lite a couple years ago and thought it was the best thing since slice bread.. I completely forgot about the pro version until I somehow lost the lite when I attached a hand grip to my camera. I did a couple of other shoots and felt naked without it. I have nightmares of putting my camera on a ledge to help someone with a pose or to lift a light and someone bumping t over the ledge or it falling on the floor. This SpiderPro is even better than the Lite. Super easy to attach, fits DSLR and Mirrorless and it has the Allen wrench that you can attach to the plate.Hands down this is a MUST if you're a pro and especially if you're a single shooter.ProsEasy to useEasy to attachComes with Allen WrenchAble to hold camera by your side instead of sitting it somewhere to be knocked over or stepped onConsNoneNone

I ended up getting this after watching several reviews. Initially, I'd purchased the cheaper version of this meant for point and shoot cameras. When I got the Black Widow holster, I found that the holster itself is a little bit clunky, and while it definitely does its job well, it's not quite as minimal as I'd expected. This isn't a knock on this purchase, however. The Black Widow holster itself came with a pin to screw into the tripod mount in my camera, which also worked as intended. The problem was that what I was looking for was something minimal yet also gave me the added functionality to mount and dismount from the tripod while giving me the ability to holster the camera at my hip when I need my hands free. I'm not a professional photographer, however, and only use this when I'm sightseeing, so it isn't of the upmost importance to get 'the complete system'. However, to keep things a little bit more discreet and easy to take on and off, I'm most likely going to end up upgrading from the Black Widow holster to the Spiderlight holster. That being said, the spiderlight plate was the perfect solution for what I wanted. I purchased this along with a quick-release clamp and use both with my Ultrapod as seen in the photos. As you can see, I'm rocking a Canon EOS M6 with a Rokinon 12mm lens. For most lenses, this gives me zero issues with the fit. It does stick out a little bit, but I'm not worried about that. However, I have two adapters I use for my EF lenses. One of these adapters is a Viltrox M2 speedbooster adapter that lets me allows me to use full frame lenses while retaining almost the same field of view as a full frame sensor. The speedbooster, however, has a tripod attachment on the bottom and it juts out enough that the Spiderlight plate stops the speedbooster from locking into the camera mount. At first I tried to remove the seemingly detachable tripod mount from the speedbooster, but it feels as though the screws may have been glued on the inside. Even if they weren't, I decided I'd rather find another solution than stripping the screws. So looking at the bottom of the Spiderlight plate, I saw two tiny black screws that were stopping the plate itself from being able to be moved back a tiny bit more on the camera. Once those screws were removed (I saw no purpose for them. They weren't holding anything down) I was able to slide the plate back just enough that the speedbooster had enough clearance to lock shut.Other than that I've had zero issues with this, and while it indeed does work fine with the Black Widow holster, I'm going to eventually upgrade to the Spiderlight holster and will likely move the Black Widow holster to a backpack of my patrol belt for times I wish to take my camera with me to work.

I purchased this mount to supplement the SpiderHolster kit I already had. The main downfall of the original holster was the need to remove the pin from the tripod mount hole to attach a tripod. This plate fixes that problem. I currently have the plate mounted on a Nikon D7200 with a Manfrotto quick release tripod mount with no issues.Does the plate add bulk, yes, about 3/4" on the tripod mount side and 1" on the pin side. Does the whole setup look dorky when you use it? Yes as well. But the flip side is that the holster system does exactly what it is supposed to do, and does it well. I use my camera in environments were lots of moving around, crouching, climbing and transitions from tripod to handhold are necessary, this system makes all of this easy to do while keeping your hands available and eliminates your camera from flopping around on a neck strap.Overall I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has similar needs with their camera(s).
