These suture removers work well to get out sutures on smaller pets. I keep them on a keychain with a pair of bandage scissors. They are pretty small and will get lost easily in your bag or pocket even.

I bought these to remove sutures following surgery and they worked great. The hook easily gets underneath this suture material, making a less painful suture removal process.

Purchased to remove sutures after our horse had surgery. Utter trash. Dull as dirt. Blades flex and bend. MIGHT work for sewing thread, but worthless for cutting sutures. File 13.

These scissors are not as pictured in the listing. The tip for picking up a “suture” or in my case a single stitch of needle work are too blunted and thick to achieve the task.
