About Speedo
In 1914, Speedo was founded in Australia by Alexander MacRae, a 22-year-old Scottish immigrant who arrived in the country in 1910. The company began when MacRae Hosiery manufacturers, established by Alexander in 1914, extended the manufacture of underwear to swimwear and became MacRae Knitting Mills. A naming competition was held by the staff in 1928 and won by a Captain Parsonson, who coined the slogan, "Speed on in your Speedos." In 1929, the first swimsuits were in production and it didn’t take long for Speedo to successfully establish itself. World War II caused the brand turn over 90% of it’s manufacturing to war production, providing the armed services with vital equipment such as mosquito nets. After the war, Speedo opened a new factory and was able to re-establish itself, due to increased demand for swimsuits. In 1951, Speedo Knitting Mills (Holdings) Ltd, was incorporated and became a publicly traded company on the Sydney Stock exchange.

Speedo hit the international stage in earnest, at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games, and a few years later the brand grew on a more global scale. Export sales to the USA began and an international division was set up to monitor trade in New Zealand, Japan and South Africa. The expansion of the brand continued, and in 1976, Speedo was appointed as the official swimwear for the 1976 Montreal Olympics, where 52 out of 54 countries wore their swimsuits.

Speedo continues to make its mark in the pool and on the beach today. Many world class athletes who wear Speedo include U.S. phenomenon Michael Phelps, legendary Australian swimmer Grant Hackett, world record holder Kosuke Kitajima from Japan, and Holland’s Inge de Bruijn.

My first time using a nose clip. I struggled to keep it on my nose as it keeps sliding off. I tried putting it on while it's dry, and that didn't make a difference. I haven't tried bending the wire to make it fit my nose. I tried using waterproof tape on my nose hoping it will stay in place. It takes a lot of fiddling to get it in the right spot. I think the tape was too thick. After a while I decided to just get used to not having a nose clip and I exhale through my nose to keep water out. Since the product was inexpensive, I decided to keep it and might help me later when I learn flip turns. I don't know. We'll see.

This clp stays on ok...shape is ok, material is sticky ie the best....Its simply not long enough to close off the nostrils... My kids wear it fine. I suspect Speedo must have had adult sizes and kids sizes and the forming mold got mixed up.Its for tiny noses..dont buy it until they straighten out the error/

Love these nose clips and the case is nice to have. I'm new to using nose clips and I had tried several of the plastic ones (not the Speedo brand ones) and they really hurt and were too tight. This is one is very comfortable and adjustable. As others noted, you may have to wipe off sunscreen. If you put this one and then apply sunscreen you can get good coverage.

I've had both the speedo and the cressi nose plugs before and I don't recall how they compare in terms of their longevity. They both get sticky overtime, but when kept dry and in their cases, do well. The plastic of the Cressi is softer and lasts longer. Maybe that's a good reason to buy them. The Speedo plugs are tighter. Maybe that's a reason. Regardless, this design, in my opinion is much superior to the all plastic plugs. Those just slip right off my nose.

Great little item that makes swimming the ultimate fun for me. The nose clip is pleasant to wear and at the same time does its job to very high standard. One of the things to purchase when you are passionate about water.

This is one of the 5 different nose clips I purchased in an attempt to locate one that fits. 1 out of the 5 work very well and another one works but has to be readjusted after a couple of laps. I think nose clips would fit everyone differently specially based on sex and race. I'm a female Caucasian with a small to average size nose. Also I read these reviews when I purchase something so I try to leave feedback when I can. This is only my opinion of the nose clips I tried. You might hate the ones I like and visa versa.I purchased1. Speedo Silicone Nose Clip2. * Speedo Competition Nose Clip *3. Tyr Soft Pad Swim Clip4. TYR Ergo Swim Clip5. Water Gear Synchro Nose Clip 1. Speedo Silicone Nose ClipThis one was the winner! I really like it. This was by far the best clip out of the 5 I tried. It stayed on my nose and kept it closed no matter how many laps I did. It was comfortable to the point that I didn't even notice it while swimming. No need to adjust it because it stayed in place. I see Amazon only sells it in packages of 10. I purchased it from [...]. Comes with a nice case.2. * Speedo Competition Nose Clip *This one sort of worked but not well enough that I didn't want to try others. It was probably the second best one but still I had to adjust it after a lap. I think if you had a larger nose it would work. You can adjust it a little but it really has to do with the rubber not really holding in place on the nose so adjusting it didn't help much. Since it didn't fit it wasn't very comfortable and very noticeable. I keep this in my bag just in case something happens to the Speedo Silicone Nose Clip.3. Tyr Soft Pad Swim ClipThis one didn't work because it didn't clip tight enough for my nose and there was no way to adjust the fit. I think it would work very well if you have a larger nose because the rubber material grips the nose well. It grips much better than the rubber on the Speedo Competition nose clip. It was the only clip out of the group that floated. It comes with a case. 4. TYR Ergo Swim ClipI really like this one when I first tried it but when I tried it at the pool as soon as it got wet the rubber wouldn't hold. It slipped completely off my nose as soon as I started to swim. If you're looking for a nose clip that you don't need to get wet this one held my nose close, stays on the nose, and is comfortable as long as I didn't get it wet. It comes with a nice case. There's no way to adjust the clip but its set tight so there's no need for me to adjust it. 5. Water Gear Synchro Nose ClipThis one was the cheapest but it was also far inferior in terms of the quality of the materials used. The wire is thinner than the wire used by Speedo and doesn't hold its shape. I don't think this would work for anyone. Also didn't come with a case.
