These are so poorly carved that attaining any level of detail in your Lino cuttings is practically impossible. The smallest blade is especially useless, whereas previous speedball blades have been fine

If you're just getting into lino, these are excellent for starting out. But once you master the ins and outs of cutting lino, definitely spend the extra money on Pfeil gouges. They're the best

This is a really good set to get you started with Lino, especially if you already have the basic Lino kit that comes with a single size head, base tool, and block of Lino to cut into. Pro tip: the small head work really well with pink pearl erasers to make little stamps that you can even use with a standard ink pad.

I got this since my first tools were getting a dull and I did not want to spend and time on a sharpener. So I got some that were already sharpened. Very sharp easily cut through my wood. Be careful too.

Works very well on soft blocks, like the SpeedyCarve. The dulled very fast when I used the blades on harder linoleum. They also get jammed in the handle and can be tricky to change out.5 star for soft block carving2 star for harder block carving

Comes in a box about the size of a matchbox, no handle included.I first bought the starter kit with the 4 x 6 block, handle, and two blades after reading about it on a diy stamp blog. The blog also recommend purchasing a variety pack of blades. I didn't even know I would like making stamps so I figured I'd keep with the $9 starter kit and forgo the $13 accessory kit suggested.Turns out, I like making stamps. There is something insanely cathartic and relaxing about shaving those rubber blocks (think removing cuticles, a good sneeze, or using a q tip, because it's that sort of enjoyable) . It also turns out I needed a little more variety in blades to achieve the designs I wanted. Saw this for half the price of the other accessory kit, and was sold.

But the tiny "V" parting blade tip is pinched too tight and the sides of the "v" cut simultaneously with the tip. This results in a wider cut mark than is desirable. I've purchased several of these assortments from different sources and it appears in all of them. This tells me it's a manufacturing change that is bad, bad, bad...
